Which exit off 24 do you take, coming from the north? I have seen 110, 111, and 112 on various directions. Will there be someone directing traffic forcing me into one of the exits? Do all the exits go to the same place? Any of them better or worse? Thanks
Yes, actually, there is an exit 112. It is a hole cut into the fence and some gravel laid so you can drive right into the site off of I-24 west. It is only open for roo, but they call it exit 112 on the site and it is right between exits 111 and 114 (theres no 113).
It depends if your coming from like Nashville, you will have to go past exit 112, turn around (I reccomend going all the way to exit 117 to turn around) down the interstate a bit and then come back to 112.
If you are coming from the south like from Chattanooga, then you will pass exit 114 and get off at the next one (112).
Since your coming from the north (Nashville) you will either take exit 111 which is the main exit for most of the traffic, OR go down to 117, turn around, then come back to 112.
Don't mean to jump in ('cause I know you're from Manchester), but I've had different experiences coming from Nashville. In 2005 they had exits 110-117 blocked off if you were coming from the north - they routed everyone down to exit 127 and then had the line go up rt 41 (from the south). So last year I didn't want to risk that and I got off on exit 105 and took rt 41 (from the north) to 55 - that worked much better.
Don't know what will work best because it seems they change their traffic plans every year, but just sharing my experiences.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

They only do they exit 127 --> Rt 41 thing at the peak traffic times. It isn't like that for the entire influx. The problem is that the traffic peaks at different times every year!
105 to 41 to 55 isn't a bad idea, people who do not know the area may get lost though and end out in BFE experiencing some Deliverance stuff!!

Last year we got off of the interstate really early and went through Tullahoma (this was our meet-up point as I was coming from SC and my friends were coming from IL), which I guess is the route 41 to route 55 path you were describing. I think it went really well overall. maybe we were there before they started letting cars in (around 8:00 a.m.) b/c we didn't move at all for a while, but then moved pretty quickly once we started moving.
ok question. if i wanted to get to the rv spots circled below, which exit would i take to get to the toll both i circled. ive only ever came in through the north end of bush branch rd. any help will be much appreciated.

We took an RV for the past 2 years, last year I drove and I wanted that particular RV lot, well it seems that it feels up extremely quick and often with people who are working/volunteering or arrived on Wed/Thursday morning.
To answer your question, we took Exit 111...but just because you enter through that tollbooth doesn't mean you will end up in that lot. When I took the Exit 111 they made me drive past the first tollbooth and routed me to the other side of Bushy Branch Rd. (My first thought was oh yea I'm getting the RV lot I wanted) only for me to end up in back where I started Pod #5 (20 min hike max.).
yeah, i kind of figured something like that. i will be arriving early thurs morning, as soon as the gates open for that matter. hopefully i'll get lucky. last year i had camp ed rooney which was such an awesome location. it would kind of suck if i had a worse locatation with the rv, one the main reasons we're even taking an rv.
We're coming from DC and I'm assuming we're gonna swing down south through chattanooga like google maps says to do.. so 112 is what we should be taking in?

You won't miss it, you'll either be able to take 112 or get directed to the next exit which is 111
