Yeah, he kept trying to get us to buy some...my boyfriend was like "you've got to be kidding me, dude." It was hilarious. He was cooking them at about 8:30 in the morning, again at midnight that night...soooooooo gross. Soooooooooo funny.
Gimme a tray of Krystal sliders, a large Subdrop, a Goo-Goo cluster for dessert and a freshly-cleanes Port-a-potty for a digestif. Merci.
I'm sure you meant a Large "SUNDROP"......oh man! I just moved outta North Carolina and boy do I miss those kidney stone causing, tooth decaying soft drink of the gods!!!
They're wonderful, if you like that sort of thing (steamy/greasy beef-'n'-onion patties, with ketchup). I miss Little Tavern; when I was at the University of Maryland many moons ago, I used to "buy 'em by the bag" for breakfast! I will try to drive via one of the outlets (we don't have White Castle or Krystal here) on my way to my first Bonnaroo. I've often driven out of my way to hit White Castles on various music-related road trips.
FYI, I've always been stone-cold sober when I've eaten these things.
Ok... time to tell my favorite White Castle story (and there are so many, its hard to really pick a favorite).
I live in NY, where we have white castle, my cousin lived right outside of DC, where they do not. Everytime he came up here we would have to go to white castle, he just loved the place. I was taking the train down there one time and I thought id surprise him with some White Castle. I get to white castle at like 9 am, order 3 suitcases (90 burgers) and like 8 orders of fries and onion rings. I threw it all in an old duffle bag, and off to the train station I went. When I got on the train I was in business class, and the overhead compartments are much like they are on a plane, with that door that closes. I throw the duffle bag up there and think nothing of it. Until 4 hours later, when we arrive at BWI airport, and the business man behind me gets up to gather his things. He opens the compartment above me and almost instantly does this backwards moonsault thing. The smell of White Castle was so strong in there he acted like he got punched in the face.
This is all well and good, until I see him lift up my duffle bag and get his suit jacket out from under it.
That thing smelled like it was soaked in burgers and onions, oh man it was bad. He looked at me and I just busted out laughing, he went on and on about the meeting he had to go to and blah blah. Luckily for me there wasnt much he could do as he had to get off the train before it left with him on it.

I would suggest waiting until the ride home from 'roo...don't want those "sliders" sliding out of u at the 'roo...I would also suggest staying away from anything spicy or greasy before hand as well

^^ that's awesome. The first one was muy funny. I have this sort of movie amnesia... i have a really good memory when it comes to other stuff, but I always forget everything about movies (characters, plot lines, etc.) so sometime soon my roomie and I are going to rent the first one again and take an epic trip to our nearest white castle (approximately 45-60 minutes away, in Kenosha, wisconsin). Luckily, on the way to and fro, we will be passing Bong Recreational Park ( i swear to god that's what it's called) and getting the munchies pretty good, i'd suspect

O! how I love those meat cookies! We stopped by a Krystal Burger last year, but it didn't stack up IMO. But it was still good! I think we'll stop by here again this year.

I was just at a party in the woods with some friends. Well, we got hungry, and went to Krystal's and just got about 30 hamburgers. Man, they are so good when you are "enlightened." But if sober, they are *yuck*
if you want to wreck your stomach like you never have before, go get a enough white castles, cheese fries and big red soda to fill you up. that food is FOUL!
this combination will make your flatulents illegal in 33 of the 48 (thank you imsquare17) continental united states.

I slit the sheet. The sheet I slit and on the slitted sheet I sit.

"Krystal > WhiteCastle all day everyday"
Karma for that one.
I'm born and raised in Murfreesboro. We just got the White Castle several years back. They were around in Nashville for a while though. I still have never eaten at the one in Murfreesboro for one reason....
THIS IS KRYSTAL COUNTRY!
I also find it hilarious that I would stick up for or choose sides in a battle of the greasiest-soggiest-tiny hamburger joints. Hahaha. But yeah, being as Krystal is an institution in my home state, I gotta stick up for em.
