I'm just curious about what are some of your favorite things to eat at Roo. I'm only talking about things you can buy from vendors because my gf and I are probably going "tent only" this year and we won't be bringing much substantial food in with us. In the past few years, i've gorged myself on hot dogs and stuff, but now i'm a vegetarian so it seems like i'll be eating alot of mozzadillas, grilled cheeses and FUNNEL CAKES! How about you?
The pesto mozzadillas are my favorite thing to eat at Bonnaroo, bar none. I am not a vegetarian but it seems like I eat mostly meat-free foods at Bonnaroo, between the mozzadillas, grilled cheeses, and the like. I found a good place on shakedown to get cheese french bread pizzas last year for $3 a piece or 2 for 5, hopefully I run into those guys again.
I LOVE SPICEY PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn thast good pizza! i cant wait to get some. spicey pie and shakedown breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. i also like the fries from the dudes who cut the potatoes up on site and chicken on a stick. although ive found that you get more chicken and a big pile of rice and veggies if you get the chicken teriyaki meal instead. and the bbq beef sandwiches. the past 2 years hes been all the way down the line of mainstage vendors. close to the last one. next to the giant taco stand. which are also awesome. damn im hungry. and damn i like alot of food at roo. and if all else fails garlic grilled cheese is alway pleasing.
also looking forward to the awesome smoothies... and last year there was this place, where you filled up whatever you wanted in a wrap, and they had awesome stuff like romaine lettuce and artichoke hearts, and roasted peppers and some kind of chicken. it was expensive like $8 or $10, but i guess that's because i didn't fill it up as massively as everyone else did - there was a bunch of other stuff to choose and some people just piled anything and everything on, so in quantity, i guess it could be a pretty good deal! they were suprisingly good. somewhere right in centeroo... i want to say near planet roo, but i might be wrong... and i think it had an italian name.

Yeah that place is awesome. It is kinda steep, but if you get one of those, I guarantee that you won't need to eat for quite sometime. I've gone there once each year I've gone.
cool, glad to hear that wrap place is always there, i will fill up more economically next time! good deal.
yes, the smoothies do rock, i like sampling different fruit creations from various stands.... speaking of which, on an unrelated (to roo) note, we went to a smoothie place the other day in new haven, ct, and my boyfriend insisted this one energy/protein smoothie was the best thing ever, but of course i did not believe him since it sounded so bazar... well i drank his and had to get another one for him. i'm going to try to re-create it at home this week - natural peanut butter, soy milk, and coconut milk (the kind you put in pina coladas, not the watery stuff that actually comes right out of the coconut - i think it's called "milk" but i could be wrong). it was honkey donkey amazing! with three such easy ingredients, i highly recommend trying it on your own.
(side note... hey admin - what happened to honkey donkey!? i typed f**k the other day just so it would come up, and i was suprised to see the actual word with expletives... so sad )

sorry not veggie but 2005 I got one of the best steak and cheeses I've ever had, mainly due to the fact it was on the bread like they give you at Outback,. Alas last year they had different bread and they just weren't the same, maybe because the crew and I had hyped up the original for a year. On the veggie side, yes mozzadillas and the garlic grilled cheeses on shakedown
