I didn't buy much beer last year, but I plan to try a lot this year so I will be reading your recommendations closely. Last year I had Yuengling in my cooler - great stuff, but I have moved and can no longer buy it - if anyone wants to bring me a couple of cases I'd be willing to pay a small convenience fee for it
Sweet Water brews out of Atlanta is a really good the 420 is a pale ale in the vein of Sierra Nevada which is nice but their Sweet Water Blue is awesome, similar to Blue Moon but with more of blue berry flavor, it sold out at most beer stands last year by Sunday afternoon. Also Star Hill out of Charlottesville VA is quite good especially JOMO which a dark amber ale, damn tasty. But at camp its sweet Bud Light aluminum bottles.
That Sweet Water Blue sounds great! Was that only in the Brooers tent? I don't remember seeing it anywhere else, but then again I was chugging the 420 or Dales most of the time...
In Centeroo, I just stick to plastic bottles of Bud Light, which I never drink in the real world. Outside of Centeroo, I can usually find cheap Red Stripe or just drink the beer we brought with us. But I do like that 420 pale ale.

Exactly. I do the Guinness thing at camp and while strolling ShakeDown but, in Centeroo I put away ALOT of Bud Light. I have never had a BL in the real world but, after I get "established", I can drink anything. It sucks but, it does the job. Plus, I don't like to leave Centeroo once i'm there....even for the sweet, sweet nectar that is Guinness.

I love Guinness myself, but I just don;t like to drink it in the summer. It is one of my favorite winter beers, but I can't drink it in the warm weather. Too thick, and not refreshing enough, I think.

I look at Guinness like I look at the prospect of a Talking Heads reunion. Anytime, anywhere...and with several encores! ;D
The Magic Hat #9 is a must at Bonnaroo or anywhere. It's so refreshing. A also love that Purple Haze they had at the Brooer's Tent last year. I think I could drink a whole keg of that stuff.

i have been talking about sweet water blue since i left last year. i haven't been able to find it anywhere here, but that was almost the best beer i've ever had. for some reason, i thought it was brewed in mississippi, so thanks for the clarification
I live in Ohio where you cant get it(local new england brew i think) and a few weeks after Bonnaroo I was in line at the local carryout(shout out to PaceHi!) and the guys in front of me asked about it and I said Bonnaroo and they turned around and said "how did you know?".
Also made Mimosas in the morning. Much better than coffee if you ask me.

Yeah, if you go to the web page I think they will ship it, or you can just wait to have another in the hot Tennessee sun
I always try all kind of different beers but for the partyin at camp we bring a nice selection.
This past year we brought a $shit load of Heineken, some Red Stripe, Becks, Don Killians, Miller High Life,King in a can, and some "Big Mouth" Mickeys. Quite a selection.

Wow I can't imagine not being able to find Yuengling - I'm from PA so if a place only sells/serves 2 types of beers, you can bet Lager is one of them.

ooooooooo Star Hill JOMO is delicious! Wonderful stuff! I also really love Guinness, have you guys ever tried Guinness with lemonade? Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy whenever I suggest it, but it is wonderful, and quite refreshing. It must be tasted to be believed.
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
Going to be my first time at Roo. Can you get Yuengling anywhere inside? Been living in Boston for a year and they dont sell it anywhere here having withdrawls.

Like mix the guinness and lemonade? That actually kinda sounds like it could work. I've been thinking about bringing some, but i dont know how guinness would go over in the heat.
