If i got to manchester let's say at 4pm on wednesday, will I be able to get onto the farm, if not how long do you think i would have to hang out until i could get onto the farm?
One of the moderators from Manchester said they opened the gates at 730pm last year on Wednesday on this thread. I've never gotten there that early so I'm not sure. If that's the case, I'm sure you could kill three and a half hours in Manchester, and have your camp set up before dark. Doesn't sound too bad actually. No idea what time they'll be opened this year. They always tell everyone not to show up early because they won't let them in, but they always end up doing it. bonnaroo.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=logistics&action=display&thread=1172685233
yeah, they've opened the gates at 7-7:30 Wed each year but, whether it's out of convenience for them or as punishment for the early-birds, the Wed night arrivals always are stuck in the SE corner of the farm (bfe).
The past few years we've gotten there Wednesday night. In 05 we got there at about 9PM and were way back in the woods across the bridge but right at the entrance to that campground. I'm pretty sure they fill it up from the entrance then back so if you want to get a good spot go early or else come in Thursday late morning. When we went in 05 we just raged it ALL NIGHT LONG and our friends arrived at like 7AM Thursday morning and ended up a good extra 10 minute walk past our campsite. Then they stopped filling that area up for what seemed like no apparent reason because there was still plenty of space in that area. Hope this helps!!!! I know I'm probably going in an RV so were gonna plan on late Wednesday night but if the RV doesn't work out were planning on Thursday morning. I hear they put you right on the main shakedown if you come Thursday during the day.

Yeah last year we got there about 10:30 and got a prime campsite right off the main shakedown where we could see the main stage from our spot. I didn't know they let people in wednesday night so I just put our luck to us showing up right after "Gates Opened". But after reading everything on here and from my experience last year, I would have to say the best spots are given thursday morning which is when I plan to show up again this year.
