^^ you can buy outdoor blankets just about anywhere. we got one last year from bed bath and beyond, and it was great. it was waterproof and easy to clean, and it zipped up into a neat little bag that you could carry over your shoulder. it also had a pocket on the side (after it was zipped) that we used to store our t-shirts and map.

(Not in any particular order. All these things are the most important in my opinion.) 1. LOTS of Water 2. Shelter/ Canopy 3. Sunscreen 4. Money or Food (Depending on whether you bring your own or buy it there) 5. Being Ready to Have the Time of Your Life!

oh my gosh! i'm surprised that no one has mentioned bug spray. and be sure to get some that repels ticks.
it is a necessity. spray EVERYWHERE - up your shorts/skirt. i was taking a nice little roo nap in the shade, scratched my upper thigh, and found that one of the little tick buggers had set up camp.
I took bug spray because I am one of those people that attracts every bug in the area, but I didn't need it. I didn't encounter any bugs the whole time - except for the huge spiders
some guys came running up a few seconds later saying some naked spunion came running by, grabbed it out of dude's hand and chucked it like a football without even stopping!
Spunion - man, that's a hilarious word! I'm going to try to use it in a normal conversation over the next week.
My quick 5... 1. Goldbond (nuff said) 2. Camp Shower (costs like 10 bucks at any camping store) 3. Emergen-C (I like to call it fizzy lifting drink...yeah Golden Ticket!) 4. Nalgene/Camelback...whatever you have that can hold a ton of water 5. Crocs (some people hate on em...I couldnt have done without them...basically bring something that protects your feet but wont make em all sweaty and nasty you'll have plenty of that to go around)

The one thing I wish that I had brought last year was toilet paper! Nothing's worse than rifling through porta potty after porta potty only to find one after another that there is no toilet paper in any of them! It's terrifying. Anyways... the five:
Toilet Paper Water A Backpack Sun Block Lots of Money

remeber kiddo's, put zinc oxide sunblock on your face and delicate easy to burn areas, then apply chemical sunblock to the rest. sunblock takes about 30 minutes to kick in. and don't forget to reaply every three hours or so.

1. Toilet paper 2. Tent / shade canopy / BIG mallet in the bag for any stakes 3. Sunscreen 4. Spare sunglasses (one pair is obvious) 5. Sleeping mask - this is a little goofy, but great for naps and sleeping through mean 9 a.m. sunshine to get you to late night!
It should go without saying, but don't forget your tickets! (I learned the hard way.)
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I feel like chairs are a bit of a pain to carry. Someone mentioned sewing a cheap shower curtain to a thin blanket for sitting on the wet ground. I liked that idea.
I did that last year. It worked out great, but was kind of shredded by the time the weekend was over. We threw it away instead of hauling it home. Those outdoor blankets are rather reasonable and would be a lot less work. Someone's making money off of my idea!

I'm going to bring a madlibs again this year. It really helped pass the time when me and other radiohead fans were waiting at 6 in the morning for the gates to open. Madlibs is one of the easiest ways to have an appropriate kind of fun with complete strangers...
A big blanket. No one will encroach on your space when you put down a big blanket.
A Sombrero
Extra something... was it only me that noticed there was very little extra somethings available for purchase last year?
The camelbak is key! We would buy a bag of ice before going to centeroo and fill the camelbak bladder(it easily filled 3 of them with left over ice) and just add water throughout the day. There is nothing better than ice cold water in that heat. The ice lasted all day too. The only downside was after awhile it would sweat thru a bit but that felt good on your back too.
