the best decision i ever made was i brought a few towels. made my sleeping bag a carpet like in the tent, used one towel as a pillow and another as a blanket when needed. also had a spare i used to lay out in the sun with by the stages. its small, light, and can shield you from the sun when walking for long amounts of time.
1) A backpack! You have to have something to lug all that stuff around in. You will want one..trust me! My friends all wound up using mine all weekend, and it came in handy after we had packed up our camp on Sunday night and it started to rain! 2) A spray fan. I bought one at Walmart for 3 dollars, and it made myself and many friends (and strangers waiting with me in line) very happy. 3) Baby wipes/clorox wipes- I didn't think of the clorox wipes, but sometimes you just gotta clean things 4) Snack Food - because Centeroo food is kind of expensive, and grilled cheeses get old 5) A blanket and/or a towel - I brought both last year, one to sit on and the other to wipe off sweat/shield me from the sun. Both were very useful, plus when you are staking out ground at a show, no one will bother your spot!
Plus a hat and lots of other things, but I think those are the most important things that might be overlooked!
Bath size beach towel. Fits easily in the backpack and makes a nice personal space on the ground. Plus, the wife had a Hello Kitty one last year and met lots of interesting people.

aside from the obvious food/water, here's my 5
camera a neat sheet a notebook and pen (funny intoxicated quotes, setlists, phone numbers, etc. etc.) shade tent GLOWSTICKS!!! Immensly fun and useful. I bought like 10,000 of them off ebay several months before Roo '04 with the intention of selling them 3/$1 but once i got there i discovered that i didn't want to waste my time hockin' glowsticks. So instead, during latenight sets and dj sets, i'd crack 'em 50 or so at a time and just throw them up in the air/crowd/whatever. I just gave them away. It was still worth the purchase though, even though i only made about 2 dollars. I just used up the last of them at New years, so i plan on making another large purchase in the upcoming months
my friend and i were thinking about buying 25,000 for 250 bucks

One good thing we've taken in the past:
A plastic bucket to sit right outside the tent entrance. Fill it with clean water and rinse your feet off before going in. We usually bring a little foot scrubber brush too. It keeps the tent cleaner and the makes you feel cleaner all over.

1. plenty of cash (the atm's service charge is crazy and the line is like an hour++) 2. lots of water and gatorade (in the form of camelbak, bottles, fanny packs with the attatched bottle, etc etc) 3. invest in a good shade setup, shade is crucial and there isn't much of it 4. sneakers... i couldn't imagine walking around barefoot or in sandals all day. you're on your feet a lot, so you owe it to yourself to keep them healthy and blister free. 5. a fanny pack or a camelbak w/ plenty of storage space. it's crazy how much sh1t you accumulate throughout the day. i like to wear really lightweight shorts cause it's so dang hot, and there's no way i could lug around everything in my pockets unless i planned on pulling my pants up every two seconds.
on that note, I have a big (1x1ft) shoulder bag from costa rica. I usually take it and run the strap around my waist and tie it, so its like a massive, floppy fanny pack. Holds a lot, ist irritating, and it wont hurt the shoulders like a backpack.

What types of things do you accumulate? I have a camelpack but not much storage for things besides the liquids.
1. One change of clothing for each day, and a hoodie, and cowboy hat. 2. Tent and sleeping bag/pillow. 3. Granola bars, frest fruit, an empty water bottle. 4. Toothbrush/paste, sunscreen, babywipes, a washcloth, sunglasses 5. A backpack with some cash and flashlight
