Best sleep I got last year was during MOE.'s show, sacked out on the grass toward the back. A little bummed I missed it, but it was the most quality snooze I got all weekend. My point is, you will find the sleep you need.

I slept sweet and sound at Elvis Costello last year. that half sleep where you can still hear the music but yer asleep enough to dream about the background noises and sweet music.......oooooOOOman I need june to seriosly hustle it up!!
Wait. You mean you can sleep at Bonnaroo. No one told me this. I just thought my campsite was for hanging out and my tent was for "private parties" with the ladies. Man, this changes everything. ;D

I actually got a good bit of sleep last year. Sadly, it was at the expense of the late night shows. I'd usually turn in early, right after the headliner finished or alittle after latenights started up. Camp was pretty quiet, so I could get to sleep, usually woke up every morning around 7 to 8ish. I plan on catching some late nights this year definitely though.
All I can tell ya is use earplugs, take a shade tent. Or stay up.
I never slept past nine last year, which wasnt bad. What I found that works well is this: You get up whenever you get up, and then walk down to centeroo and take a nap under That Tent (or is it This Tent? I dont remember... it's the one closest to the main entrance to centeroo.) I took a ton of naps there, in the morning it is relatively quiet, and no one will bother you. Use your backpack as a pillow. Take those eaplugs with you. The shade there is so nice.
That's the sand-bottomed tent, I assume? That tent is awesome when it's not crowded. The sand is nice and cool...I saw Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers there in '05, and it was one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen at the Roo so far.
Sleeping late is hard at roo. Earplugs are good, when you pitch your tent, try to figure out how the wind blows and make sure that you maximize the airflow, tarps are good too. Having a pee jug is VERY handy, saves a lot of trips to the portajohn in the middle of the night (or early morning). Try to nap in the late morning in a lounge chair outside of your tent, even if you don't get deep sleep it helps. Try to sleep as late as you can, some of the most fun shows are the late night ones (ask Alisa).

I am no help on this subject because our tent turned into a sauna at approximately 7:12 every morning. Lol! We didn't have the necessary equipment to dodge the sun last year, this year is a different story. We're going to have everything we need and then some this time.
Once you first wake up, before doing anything else, walk to Centeroo and catch a couple more hours sleep in the cinema tent. I would duck into that thing between sets and catch a couple hours sleep everyday. Its got AC and the ground is nice and soft.
