The people who have vending tents setup along the campsite streets, do they have vending passes? Or are they just normal campers like all of us who locked down a spot on the main roads?
Do you think it would be a good idea to try to sell like cheap beer (Busch, Icehouse, etc.) and bottom shelf liqquor (Old Crow Whiskey, Evan Williams, Montezuma, etc.) outside of roo? Our neighbors last year did it and made a killing selling some strong, cheap-ass Bloody Maries... If I were to sell alcahol for cheaper than 'Roo, how should I go about doing it?
BTW, I think the reason they were all over the balloons was because, say, what if someone were to fuck up with a tank and it goes shooting all through the tents killing people.

I dont know if the people had vending passes, but it didnt seem like any of the people selling drinks got hassled. Then theres people who just sell it on the side of the road, who i didnt really see get bothered either. And i think the big deal about the tanks at fests is that its so easy to overdo, and no fest want people passing out or dying. I plan on just walking around and selling like a carton of smokes, but thats a lot smaller.

i too have thought about selling tee shirts. last year i won tickets to Bonnaroo for an inspiration design in their design contest. got a few more in mind too.

how much were you thinking of selling shirts for?
I'm thinking the first day I would try and sell them for about $20-25 and by the last day down to $10-15. I just have to figure out how I'm going to print the shirts...if I'm going to have somebody proffessionally do it($$$) or buy transfer papers and iron them on myself (potentially disasterous)
I was going to enter the design contest but I don't really want to give up my design when I could make more money off of it on my own ya know?
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

You can usually buy 'unofficial' T's throughout the festival for $10, and I actully think they look a lot better than the official ones. But, usually, I just wait till Sunday to buy mine when they are trying to get rid of them. The past few years I've gotten mine for $5. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
I call bullshit on a mounty not chasing someone. i saw a mounty chase a nos dealer who was cutting through tents hauling ass. the cowboy darted through the tents and cut him off.
thats nos though, one of the main reason they have cops at Roo, with tshirts they arent gonna do that much Im sure.

First timer here. I thought that official vendors with permits were set up in Centeroo...... can anyone clear this up for me? I make jewelry, Not nearly enough for a $2K official vendor permit, but I would like to help finance my trip a bit when I am not at Centeroo. Thanks.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
quite poorly. the guy i was negotiating the deal with (legitimate products by the way) had agreed to the price for the quantities i wanted, then didn't re-email me back at all until after i left for FL. i actually gave him my cell # to call and he called me about an hour or two after we finished setting up camp...well maybe i should say after most of the group was no longer capable of continuing to set up camp...it certainly wasn't finished
though i did consider something while i was there, as i forgot that i have a tendency to start giving nuts away when i party...bad for business needless to say regardless, i'm still encouraged by the fact that i continue to not see anyone else with the same products at any festivals/shows i've done in the last year or two, so we'll give her a go anyway...just probably won't sink as much capital into my start-up inventory as i would if i already knew i could make my money back quickly.

They let the official vendors in early to set up spots wherever they want.
