yeah they gave out a mix CD last year with a bunch of songs from the bands who were there. i still have mine, but i rarely listen to it...didn't think the track selection was that great.
I didnt get a CD?!
If you aren't handed a CD at the gate when you get your map, try the med stations; they usually have the shash of the extras/leftovers. At least that's how it was in years past. But you aren't missing much.

Do they have extra maps there too? our maps (except one souvenir one) got trashed; I would have loved an extra map or two.

Yep, they have them there - sorry I didn't mention it earlier.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
BFE, as noted in the above picture, is probably actually closer than the spots in the far left corner of this picture. That's ridiculous and I hope I don't get put there. We were in BFE as you have it marked last year and it was about a 20 minute walk to Centeroo.
I was going to say the same thing.
If that's what people are considering BFE, that's not too bad at all. We were in that area in 2004 and I would have loved to have been back there the following year! In 2005 we were SOMEWHERE in the middle of nowhere (I'm thinking we were in Kentucky) and the walk was at least twice as far from what's labeled BFE above. Still, like others have said, that walk can be an absolute blast if you make the most out of it. People really shouldn't fear the long walk all that much.
^^^ I agree, it wasnt too bad, I suppose... The only time I really hated it was the one night where I got all mixed up and went the wrong way... to the other side of the campground entirely, and then walked all the way around until I came at my tent from the far side. That shi t was bad.

Ok, my friend and I are coming down from Virginia Beach (about an 11 hour drive). As far as campsites go, should we show up Wednesday evening (730-12) or in the middle of Thursday morning (12-) to get the closest camping? Also what time will the bands start Thursday?
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things

If it were me, I'd show up Thursday late morning...even though your camp location is pretty much a crapshoot, you will definitely be far away if you come on Wednesday night. There is no doubt that you would be put in the back campground...I didn't like being back there.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I am renting an RV and driving from Little Rock to Bonnaroo on Wednesday night. Is it better to get into Bonnaroo on Wednesday night or wait till Thursday morning?

I loved the back campground - clean porta potties - quiet for the times you actually had a chance to sleep - besides - like other have said - you don't spend that much time at your campsite anyway - we basically only slept there for a few hours each morning - got up, dressed, packed the backpack and headed out
