I'm wondering if there is access to computers anywhere, maybe in Centeroo?? I don't really want to drag a laptop with me. I have a lot of buddies who can't make it, but want blog-type reports about certain artists, especially Clutch, Gogol Bordello, and Tool.
There is "supposedly" campwide wifi, free. It is very sketchy though, at least it was last year. It may be improved this year though. There is nowhere that i know of that you can just get on the net though. You have to bring your own laptop.
On a side, last year at Vegoose, they had this tent set up where, when you went in, they gave you a blank CD-R. There were a bunch of laptops set up with a bunch of music on there and you could go in and pick what you wanted and burn it to you complimentary CD-R.
Well, Teine, CKS, Tara, and myself were there, and while my CD was burning, I realized that the laptops were connected to the net, so i checked my email. Oneof the guys working saw me checking email and cmae over and got all up in my sh!t about it. He was all " You're not supposed to be on the internet, these are for burning CDs." I told him my CD was burning and that I was just checking my email and that I didnt see anywhere in there where it said you couldnt be on the net. He started to turn off the laptop I was on until i told him to wait, that my CD was still buring. He was a real prick about the whole situation.
I belileve Vegoose did this in leiu of giving us a free mix CD like they do a roo. Kinda cheapie if you aske me!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

write it all in a journal and blog it later. you will be too busy jamming and having fun to bother letting the outsiders know how things are happening.

They had the same tent at Roo last year. Allthough it wasn't working the time I went in there so I didn't get my cd.
When I was there in '05 there was an air conditioned tent where you could use a computer to browse to your heart content. it never seemed to busy, I went and checked my email and bank account and for that stuff it was really handy.
There's no way in hell I'm taking my laptop down there, so unless there is a feature like that this year, welp, I'm without any internet access for a weekend.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
There was indeed a place or two where you can check your e-mail, blogs and so on. I think one of them was the AT&T Blueroom tent, but I could be wrong. I was with one of the Inforoo people last year and she was able to check her myspace page where she was leaving posts to other Inforoosters.

Last year they had 3 places. One was some cellular company that let you charge your cellphones and send pictures and stuff on their laptops. They also had photo printers which i used for awhile until some guy started yelling at me about it. There was a myspace tent that you could use for whatever, and i think you could do whatever on the AT&T computers too. The thing is as addicted as you might be to using the computer at home, you probably won't have any urge to use it at all while you're there. There are much cooler things to do.
I remember the myspace tent last year. The line wasn't too bad, and it was supposed to be a "10 minute" time limit per person. Computers or internet was pretty slow too. Like people have said above me though, you're really not worried about it while you're there. I wouldn't bother bringing a laptop there either. Just something else to worry about, and worrying should be kept to a minimum at Roo.

wow, you're a helluva friend to try posting reports about artists while you're still at bonnaroo...
i don't think i could pull it off. my reports would read something like "...so then they came OUT and oh my god they played EVERYTHING and the lights were SICK and everyone was completely...oh SHIT i gotta go!!"
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
Yeah, don't know what I was thinking. I'll have pictures, and (hopefully) memories to share.
BTW, I'll sneak this in since I haven't seen another thread about it. What's the deal with cameras? My wife has a pretty sick Canon digital, but I'm getting the idea they'll only allow stuff like fun-savers. Any comments?
i checked my email several times at roo with no problem. you might have to catch it at a convenient time. i think i tried to go early in the am. when it was hot i th ink people went in there to cool off.

As far as I know, digi cameras will be allowed as long as they don't have big additional lenses or look really professional

if they go like they did in 05 and most any other major fest "rule of thumb" if you cant take off the lens, then you can take it in" things may have changed but i dont think so .. cr*****
