Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
margie at the jack daniels distillery warned us about ticks and chiggers.....but the only things i saw were spiders and some other unidentified bugs...no bites for me

Kind of like me trying to play "Stairway to Heaven" after one too many tokes. It just doesn't happen. Anyway, were the spiders over by the woods camping area or are they everywhere? I really don't like them and were prefer mosquitos. Sigh....

Bonnaroo is 600+ acres of open fields with semi-long grass until Wednesday night/Thursday morning. The spiders are everywhere and they get displaced really quickly with everyone moving in to camp. Expect to see them on the move all weekend long.
as far as mosquitos go, i didnt notice the first one. ticks and chiggers were non-existant. but then again i probably had a few ticks on me and didnt realize it. they can get on you, attach themselves to you, feed off you, and fall off with you noticing. sneaky lil' bastids

i did see a tic on one guy's leg during beck. we told him so that little bugger didn't last very long.
Try living on Eastern Long Island. My sister just found out she got Lymes Disease from one of those things. Besides the price of living, ticks are the other thing I hate about living out here.
Anyways, I didn't really have any mosquito problems when I was at roo, just a bunch of these little spiders that kept on getting into my tent. I woke up one morning with one on my face..I flipped out for a sec and start smakcking my face . Not sure what kind they are, but there were a ton of them.

On Saturday morning in 05 my girlfriend and I saw a huge (maybe 4 ft. long) cottonmouth snake near the bridge in the woodlands area. Scared the hell out of us because snakes usually stay FAR FAR away from just a few people let alone 10's of thousands. But I wouldn't worry about snakes, or spiders, or mosquitos, there all just apart of bieng out in the middle of nowhere and people don't really mind them that live out in the country. If you get bit by a bug it's not really a big deal, just bring some aloe vera and you'll be fine. The funny thing about the snake was that some really messed up kids were just standing like 3 ft from it as it was slithering away and they were just staring at it as if it didn't exist.
