I want to catch the earliest shuttle from the airport as possible, but also want to get a good night sleep before the crazyness that awaits me at Bonnaroo... So I was thinking about staying at a hotel near the airport the night before, checking out early and catching the first shuttle available (I think it's at 9:30).
Anything on Donelson Pike or Royal Parkway should be fine. I had some friends who stayed at the Super-8 on Royal Parkway and it was a standard, cheap hotel. Nothing fancy, but safe.
Whatever you do, DON'T rent a room at any hotel on Murfreesboro Pike. It's super-ghetto. I used to live on a different part of Murf. Pike, and I would lock my doors when driving through that area (the area with the hotels).

Anything on Royal Parkway is close - there is also a Hilton Garden there. There is a Country Inn, and also a Spring Hill Suites that are close and pretty cheap also. I am pretty sure they all have shuttles to the airport.
