We used one of the Sports ones SPF 50 and did not have to re-apply it hardly at all. We went under the mist tents often and were of course sweating a lot. We did not have the spray stuff but I think I will buy some fro this year.
I burn ridiculously quickly too and I'd always be white if I reapplied with white sunscreen. I just got Neutrogena cooling spray sunscreen and it works really well, no rubbing, can reach weird angles, dries quick.....I sound like an ad.
I'm going to heed the advise of this thread and pick some of this stuff up.... i am also really loving this bucket hat i just bought from Columbia.. the top part is sooo breathable, if it weren't for the added shade you'd forget that you are wearing a hat

Do you have a link to this hat? I'm looking to buy one......thanks!
Oh I love the Neutragene - it does not smell like sunscreen - it cools you down and it does not dry and peel like some of those sunscreens do
Which one of their sunscreens do you use? I am leaning toward the cooling one, but have read some terrible, and amazing reviews on the stuff. I just want something that works, and isnt incredibly oily...

I use clinique sunscreen. it may be a bit more expensive, but it works the best and especially for someone like me who has super sensitive skin AND its a spray bottle which i love.

I love Clinique stuff - I am not one to spend lots of money on cosmetics but their tinted moisturizer is really nice also.

The Neutrogena cooling spray sunscreen in the silver can is easy to put on and really convienent, but it feels very plasticky on your skin.
I have very fair, very sensitive skin, and I find that baby sunscreen is usually oil free and very gentle on skin (it's made for babies after all!) I like Coppertone for babies, available in SPF 30 and 50. I put it all over, but I use a tube of zinc oxide (that really white pasty stuff) on my nose and face. If you rub it in enough the white pretty much goes away.
Don't forget these spots that usually get looked over:
Tops of your ears Part of your hair LIPS Tops of your feet, including your toes
We buy the "No-Ad" stuff every year, like spf 50 or something. I am so freaking white, I am almost transparent, and I only have two modes, burnt and not burnt. I do not get tanned.
But with this stuff every year, I never get sun burned at roo. You just gotta be careful about it wearing off and you not knowing.

I am exactly the same way, and I got FRIED last year, despite the spf45 every hour or so... I don't want a repeat of that. .... ugh.
DMB, is the no-ad really greasy? I need something that I can put on my face, without breaking me out too much.

I just bought that hat and took it with me to Coachella last weekend. It saved my head from getting burnt and you hardley notice that it's there. Also when the sun goes down you can fold it up and put it in your pocket. Definatley bringing it with me to the Roo.
I've had a similat hat for years and I LOVE it. It's saved my face and head more times than I can count. You can also just wad it up and stick it in your pocket and throw it in the washer and it doesn't hurt it a bit. I even wear it swimming sometimes. Best hat I've ever owned.
Outdoor Research Nimbus Sombrero folds up nice, great shade, good breathability, can hang around your neck, or flip up the sides for the 'Roo Ranger look: tinyurl.com/29q9om

Yeah, its pretty greasy, and its the white cream type, so it takes forever to rub in. You may not want it. But it is really cheap, and it works really good!
I usually put it on in the morning and again about 3:00. I can go all day at roo wiht no shirt on and not get burnt with it.
i like the aveeno products......i just got back from vacation in jamaica and did not burn at all.......i used the spf 45 spray on my body and the spf 30 face cream the spray is very lite and i didn't look like i was covered in a film like my friends who used coppertone
Bullfrog spray on sunscreen is the way to go. its a spray so you dont just end up mixing the sunscreen with the dirt as you would with a regular sunscreen and it wont come off when you sweat. it smells a bit like rubbingt alcohol but not as strong and it works very well. you can fidn it at Kroger, Sports Authority and REI.
