Any size is allowed, but if you are camping with your car then you may not have enough room for it. I would say go ahead and take it, worst case is that you will have to share a bit of your shade with some neightbors, and that aint all so bad. Neighbors are nice.
i dont know about the stove, we took a charcoal grill last year. I have heard mixed messages about the propane, some people say you can, some say you cant. Im going to bet you will probably be fine with it.

Well we will be with another large Van, we have a big truck. Dont usually put the sides on the canopy or have only one down for late day shade, and we back both vehicles up to its side. Plus we dont mind sharing shade or shelter, so come on by.
We brought a two-burner stove and lantern(both propane) last year, and no one ever said anything to us. Of course they didn't search our car when we came in either, so I don't really know if they would have. For the past two years, upon arriving, some one sticks their head in our car winedow and asks "Do you have any glass, fireworks, or illegal substances?", so I don't even know if they're looking for propane. Both of the groups camping on each side of us had a small charcoal grill last year though.
If I remember the B-roo instructions always say you campsite will 10x10. It's actually bigger that that but a 10x10 canopy is about right with room for general accessories. I think a 10x20 would likely encroach on your neighbors (though they may not mind.) Of course you could shade your camp and part of your car with a 10x20.

I brought a propane stove without a problem. Also for the golden ticket award one of the prizes of the ultimate coleman camp setup is a propane stove. So my guess is its not an issue.
if you are close to centeroo, it might be too big. The closer your camp is to centeroo or the main stage, the more packed in it is (for obvious reasons). Tthey really don't give you a ton of room. A spot for you car, and a spot for your tent, that's it. Out near the fringes, the 25-45 minutes walking distance spots, you will have plenty of room. People spread out more in those areas, b/c they aren't nearly as coveted camping spots.
Last year in Ferris Bueller(about 10 minutes from centeroo), we and everyone around us were pretty spread out and comfortable. People had some pretty elaborate camp areas. Definitely more than the 12 feet by carlength that its suppose to be. In '05, we got there early, and they had us packed in like sardines. Everyone's tents were practically touching.

One of those garage/party tents is what I'm planning on setting up in VIP if I'm unable to score an RV. I want a structure that consists of a thicker material than a regular camping tent because I know it's going to rain. Also to help keep it cool with the help of a generator and portable a/c unit. Still on the fence as whether or not to deck it out with disco lights.

I'd love to bring a canopy with me. My neighbors last year had one. I'm sure it's kinda nice not having to hunch over in your tent all the time. Too bad canopies are effing expensive (for a good one, anyway).
I've heard about some nice 10x10 pop ups on amazon.com going for around $50. We had a $30 Ozark Trail last year. It worked okay all weekend, but it completely collapsed during the rainstorm Sunday night. I'd say it's worth the upgrade.
I went to Tractor Supply yesterday and they had the $100 pop-up canopy (The strong ones that just unfold and pop-up and have the criss cross bracing) on sale for $32. I got two just in case I have room.

Okay, so I'm a complete newb ;D
I've a question involving tent space recs. We're not planning on tent only, so we'll be with the car. We have a large three room tent and a sunshelter. We're debating on getting a smaller tent since the kiddos are going to be visiting various relatives for days. Spacewise, if we're taking the sun shelter, (I hate to be rude) is it more polite to get the smaller tent just for the two of us? We have a crowd of friends going but we're unsure if we'll be heading in at the same time so we thought a communal shelter, come visit spot, would be nice. Btw, this board has been the most excellent resource I've found on what to expect and being prepared. Thank ya'll so much!
I'm so excited! We're celebrating ten years together by going to Bonnaroo! *does the happy dance*
A 3 room tent probably measures about 10x18. This is going to be BIG if you get a tight campsite. Even if it fits you'll have no room for outside lounging (and tents get HOT during the day). I'd probably get a smaller tent and bring along the bigger one in case you have a big site (like in BFE) or get to camp next to your friends.

What he said. Tents are really only useful after the sun goes down, otherwise they're like ovens inside. What I would do, after seeing how everything works last year, is bring the sun shelter and the smaller tent and use the sun shelter as your communal visiting area. A giant tent seems more trouble than it's worth for just two people (and potential visitors).

kingcanopy.com scroll down and look on the left for refurbished canopies or osmething of that sort and they have 10x10 industrial canopies for 45 bucks. hit it upp
