This will be mine and my friends first year at bonnaroo, we are going by ourselves no veterans going with us, and i was just wondering if you guys recommend park and camp vs tent only, not so much worried about conveince as i am having a good time with the people around me!
I say do both. Set up a permanent camp at your car and a day camp at tent only. You can resupply the day camp each morning and spend time in whichever site suits your mood at the time. If I end up in BFE, that's what I'll do. Sleep in the quiet of BFE and party most of the time at Inforoo.

As soon as I said that to my partner in crime she was like yea that's what were doing, mad karma man.

That is exactly what we thought about doing this year - we have a friend who will be in Tent only - so we will drop stuff off at his tent - hang out there in the day and then go back to BFE to sleep
I've done both - I thought it would be so hard to adjust to not having my car, but i could not been more wrong. seriously it is so worth it, you are just as close to centeroo as VIP, AND you have more room to spread out with your stuff. I could never ever go back to GA car camping over GA tent-only. in tent only you can actually go back and forth to centeroo several times throughout the day, instead of making the one big hike - you'll see more of the bands you want to see while still having time to relax.
we even left our cooler out in the open every day cause we were lazy, and in my somewhat intoxicated state of mind i left lots of valuables right on the floor of my zipped up tent, and nothing was ever taken.
plus, you get to camp with a great group of as many people as you want, instead of just getting stuck with your random neighbors in the cars next to you.

the cost of camping is included in your ticket
when you show up on the farm and they park you in rows, you can either set up camp at your car or haul your stuff over to tent only, it doesn't cost any bit extra to do so (i know, too good to be true right!)

Freaking Genius. I'm ashamed that I didn't think of it in the first place. I didn't want to have to walk back to shakedown street whenever I needed to restock, but I loved SDS so much last year that I didn't want to leave it. KARMA for you everyday.
mostly just a lot of kicking back and relaxing took place there.
