Last few years we took an RV to Bonaroo, and will be flying this year, so a lot less room to pack. What's everyone's experience with the "general store"? What do they sell and how much? I'm especially insterested in beer and water by the case. And do they sell coolers? Not sure how I could bring one on the plane.

dude, they sold a case of water for $40, enough said!
extremely overpriced, i think you'd only want to use it for emergencies
if you're going to be in tent only with the inforoo group, see if someone can pack an extra case of water/beer in their car for you. personally i'd stick to just the case of water, and just buy beer on shakedown or in centeroo, let's you try out some different stuff!
Yeah, I'd definitely bring water or have somebody else bring it for you. The General Store was suuuper expensive.
I'd bring some beer, though. Not too much, because like Alisa said, Centeroo and Shakedown should have tons of options and you can try some new stuff. I'd still bring a bit, though, for when you get back to camp.. Plus, it's cheaper.
A couple of moments where I wasn't exactly "there," had me rolling in there for some icy cold beers, but I'm not quite sure why, as I know I had plenty in my bag and at camp. Yes, it was wildly overpriced. If you're desperate though, it's nice to know you have that option, even if the prices are really rough. Anyway, a lot of the prices issues go by the way side when you're knee deep in the Roo of it all...

I think there was a 6 pack of budweiser for like $15 or something crazy like that last year. You're better off trying to get supplies from elsewhere unless really desperate.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
i'm in the same situation, driven down before and flying this year. hoping to hit up the wal-mart sometime thurday to at least get a cooler, water and beer. does this sound feasable? i've never gone to the wal-mart and not sure what to expect
^^^there are lots of others that will do it also - it is not just me - wait until it gets closer - I have a feeling that most of us that are driving will pick a "flying buddy" and just bring what we can to help ya'll out - after all - this is Bonnaroo

exactly. I've already got one flying buddy that I paired up with, and if I have room in the car (which depends on how many people I end up taking), I will be more then willing to help out a fellow roo'er
Don't forget the rubber mallet for tent stakes, and if you're bringing canned food, a can opener. We bought a can opener from the general store in '05 for about $10 and when we got back to camp, we realized it was broke...:-|
Save me a NY bagel. mmmmmmmmm bagels. I'll be the guy with the sausage gravy at the brunch ( and as much coffee as I can perc with my small percolators).
I'll definitely bring extra water and freeze as much as will fit in my freezer. I just hope I'm not in BFE. Lugging water for 45 minutes sounds like a huge drag

I don't have anything with big enough wheels to roll of uneven ground. I have a couple old wheel chairs (yeah, I have a lot of junk around) that I may try and modify but borrowing a wagon or such sounds good.
I've sent in my application to the Real World. So I'm hoping to hear back from that. I'm putting A LOT of my eggs into that basket, the MTV basket. I'm also thinking about getting a gun, and dealing crack. Being a crack dealer. Not like a mean crack dealer, but like... like a nice one. Kinda friendly like, "hey, what's up guys? Want some crack?"
Last year I bought a six pack of Budweiser for 15 bucks.... so if you multiply that by four, a case of Bud would cost you 60 bones... I'd avoid the general store and go shopping on shakedown or tent city... you'll find pretty much anything you'll need out there!
