I stopped by the brunch early w/ my coffee and gravy fixin's and no one was sure it was gonna happen. Left milk and pop tarts and directions to my camp and went back to my site and fed the whole neighborhood so I guess it worked out okay. All my neighbors were REAL happy. Sorry I didn't get to meet a lot of ya. Got to get on the phone list next year.
DITTO on the phone list thingy!!! I tried to find the camp a couple of times and never could! Managed to meet up with every 'Rooster who had my phone number though...... So, had to make nice with my neighbors with the extra beer, food and such that I brought to share with you guys... Good for making new friends.......but not the ones I intended! But it's all good at 'Roo! Maybe next year!! LOL!

I showed up around 10 am with biscuits, Troo, and heard you were doing gravy somewhere else. After hanging out with the Inforoo gang for an hour I went on a quest to unite my biscuits with their gravy brothers but I could not find you. Yelling Troo where r u didnt help either. Bet it was good gravy too.
I'm just happy my Blow Pops were a hit. You'd have thought I hand-dipped them or something. (Meanwhile others did actual work for their food and I greatly appreciated it-- whooho!)
Mac: I got to Inforoo before 9am with gravy fixings, milk and a coffee pot (no stove , propane, etc. to see what was up and no one was sure. I had so much to haul I said just send someone down to my camp if things materialize. (I was right down East 1st street past 4th Av on the Right with a green flag.)
I started back to Inforoo about 10 -10:30 w/ about a gallon of left over gravy after I fed my entire camp but I kept offering it to all interested parties along the way and ran out before I got to Inforoo. Oh well, I really missed the biscuits but we just used rolls and such and fed a mass of campers.

The brunch was an amazing success... I definitely dug "tea time" (mimosas on Fri, Maragaritas on Sat) and the company. Too bad I didn't get to meet everyone I wanted, but hey, that just leaves more to do next year (and I will be there next year... oh, yesssssss, my preciousssss....
^^^I know mine were munched on when I got there - I put down the bag and someone grabbed it up and started it around (I never even got one of my own biscuits - LOL) I did get bacon and a donut tho

I like to think that every morning at Camp Inforoo was a Brunch. We definetly started every morning all together sitting around drinking, smoking, and eating. People would tell stories of the night before and give their opinions on the shows to see that day. I think more then anything, I miss that little community that we had. Also special thanks to everyone who brought the alcohol!!! Ray Leo, and Happy Bunny, you guys made my day!
Hey I showed up too! had bacon and a Crispy Creme! Those are a real legend in Canada because we can't get them. Yum yum. Was nice to meet everyone! And can I ask this???
Ok I know it gets hot here in Canada, but THAT WAS INSANE! All of our group that went to Roo are all coughing up dust still. and the heat! I definitely couldn't drink as much as I normally do! Yikes!
Well next American festie is "Power to the Peaceful" created by Franti but I will definitely be at Bluesfest in Ottawa Ontario.

Well that was only if you could hear over me giving my "opinions" for the day. ;D Whoever brought the donuts, we're not worthy!
I too partook of the Krispy Kremes. Thank you. Bonnaroo breakfast: a Krispy Kreme, a few mimosas, and a bit of the ole "cornpipe". Thank you to everyone involved in the Brunch. And a special thanks to Corncat as well.

HI guys! i came by camp inforoo around 12 noon for the brunch. of course i was late. i found it because of the baby flag and the inforoo flag. it was really nice hanging out with those of you there. i guess i missed the biggest gathering. did anyone eat the cake and chex mix that i left there?? i will try to post my pics at the inforoo flikr site.
I could just kick myself for not trying harder to make it to the brunch. It was just after dark Thursday when I finally set out to find the inforoo camp. I had just really finished setting up my camp. It was my first treck out from camp Bogomil, (I thought it was R2D2 until I saw an ariel pic yesterday). I had no idea of my orientation, etc. I asked until I found East 1stSt and camp Sloan Peterson. It was fully dark and there was a sea of people walking in tho other direction to get to centeroo. I couldn't believe how incredibly crowded it was in tent only. I tried to look for the flag in the dark, but I couldn't even walk into the camp so I could get closer to the middle where I could see better. I made it to 2nd ave, but instead of going up that street, I just turned around and tried to find the flag as I walked back. Everything over in tent only was pitch black. Bummer.
The next morning, I started getting overwhelmed by the heat. I did manage to cook my grits and cheese for the 4 of us, but I felt bad that I hadn't at least come back over there and tried to find y'all again. Oh, plus, I hadn't really slept a wink the night before... my daughter and her friend were partaking of the blotter and they kept making jokes and I was LOLing so loud in my tent that I thought I might be waking up the neighbors. Must be one of those contact things, huh?
After the heat settled in I spent the day misting and using my necklace fan, drinking water bottle after bottle and eating what I thought was good for me food...cliff bars, yogurt and fruit. Late in the afternoon, we went to the comedy tent and I started bumping into people and things, I literally couldn't walk straight and I hadn't partaken in anything. I got a corm dog, more yogurt and fruit and water and I was still light headed, so I went to the medic tent.
My blood sugar was 42 and I had just eaten. It was probably 22 when I was stumbling around centeroo. They took me to see the doc in the tent under the ferris wheel which was the closest I got the the famous sexy ferris wheel. The doc said I should go to the hospital where they could run some other tests, because I still felt sh1tty even after they got my sugar back up. I went to the ER where that doc said I had some whacky results on one of the tests indicating a possible heart problem and to verify, they would need to run the same test in 8 hours.
So into the hospital I went for the night. No complaints about the flush toilet and shower, but that's not why I came to Bonnaroo, so I was sorely dissapointed. The next doc came in about noon and said the next test was negative for heart problems and I could go back to Bonnaroo.
So, out of the hospital, and onto the road back to the Roo. I had to walk a country mile in the blazing hot sun before someone was kind enough to pick me up and drive me back to my campsite.
Well that's my story. I did get to see the Police and other music as I walked through centeroo, so I guess I'm one of those who went to Bonnaroo and only saw one band. I'da never thunk it before I went. I wish I weren't so sensitive to the heat. Brook mentioned that those with thyroid problems can't take the heat, maybe that was it. I know I will have to be one of the RV people next time. We had to leave when we got packed up on Sun because of my intolerance to the heat and most of the bands I wanted to see were on Sunday. I told my daughter that even if John and George came back from the dead for a Beatles reunion, I didn't think I could stay... She had already seen most of the bands she was interested in, so we left.
I really hated it, too, and I have had massive 'roo withdrawals since I got back. Well I hate to have rambled on so...
What I really wanted to say was that I'm sorry I missed you guys, but I did have a dream last night about the brunch. I did bring my grits, but I put sugar in them because that's the way Meg said she wanted them. I really brought the white sugar, Meg, but in my dream, I put brown sugar in them.
Hey, they were pretty good that way(in my dream). I would never consider doing it in real life. That's what cream of wheat is for...lol.

I am so tickled and honored that I made it into your dream - funny thing is - we had grits for breakfast this morning and I thought of you as I was putting my sugar in them - my first thought was "damn - I never did get my grits at Bonnaroo" second thought was "Oh yeah, lauraroo got sick, damn"
I am glad that you were ok after they got your sugar straightened out. Like Brook, I have thyroid issues also - so it was pretty rough - luckily I have a great guy that understand if I say I need to find shade and rest - he does.
Meg, I'm pretty used to the great minds thinking alike thing, its when they happen around the same time that makes me realize how connected we are as human beans. This was my last dream before I woke up this morning about 830 EDT. Wooooo......wooooooo....
Thanks, allyroo....we live close ya know. Charlotte is only a couple of hours away from Florence. Have you ever heard a band from there called Simplified?
No, I've only heard of Simplified because the lead singer, Clee, is my nephew's wife's cousin and they have come to Hartsville for a cuz reunion and pig pickin' for the past two years. They played in the garage 'cause it was raining cats and dogs that night, but I was impressed with them and I knew they were based out of Charlotte. Of course they were impressed about me coming to the 'roo. They are booked every night somewhere, but they blocked that night out for us. I would love to come to Charlotte to hear some music, tho. Maybe we could get together.
Sorry this is so OT, I hope we have a great brunch planned for next year too!
