I was wondering what prices were like last year. I would hate to end up short.I prefer going home with extra. Just wondering about things like the buffet, t-shirts, bottled water, ect.
You've got so many options prices can really vary.
T-shirts anywhere from $10-$30
Bottled water-----Buy a camelbak and bring ALOT of water....don't waste your money on this...your aloud to bring your own into Centaroo.
I don't know what buffet your talking about...but there was tons of vendors selling food anywhere and everywhere...you can get a $1 delicious grilled cheese.
I bring $300 for myself....that covers me for food, beer in Centaroo, and miscellaneous items. You could get by with MUCH less though.
Here is an idea I had. We bought 4 cases of bottled water and froze it solid in the freezer. We used our bottles for ice in our coolers. When we wanted to thaw out water, we would lay a couple out for a short while and it would be cold but thawed. We would carry 4-5 into centeroo and they would stay cold all day long.

It all depends on what you want to buy and how badly you want it. You can find good deals on Shakedown b/c of the quantity of vendors. It is definately a buyers market. You would be surprised the good deals you can get from the partiers on shakedown at about 3:00 AM on pretty much anything you desire. Last year we brought our own beer and water with us, but bought most of our food on shakedown. I think we all managed to keep under $60 a day for all the necessities.
Depends what you are in to, and what you bring, imo.
We brought most of our food, but my friend really loved the gyros, and thus got one each day. Outside of that, we ate almost every meal at camp, and brought in most of our consumed alcohol.
I'd say I spent about $30 a day, and $10 on rip-off shirt My bro spent arooound, $70 a day, and an additional $200 over the weekend for "party supplies."
So I got off spending around $100, he spent around $410

ya we have done the frozen water bottles every year too. last year we froze a couple cases of bottles and bought a bunch of the 1gallon jugs of water at walmart and froze them too....the plastic on these 1gall. ended up being a little thin and some cracked, but same works with 2liters etc. nothing like block ice to keep your cooler cold and you get ICE COLD WATER for free all weekend! We didnt need any extra ice last year. I work at a restaraunt so I get to freeze all my stuff in our bigass freezer in back!

i like my camelbak. i fill it up with ice cold bottled water in the morning, but then just refill later at the water stations as needed. it also is easy to carry around (fits right inside my pack) and it's easy to drink out of. Instead of opening your bag to get your bottle of water and then having to hold it to drink it. I highly recommend the camelbak for those standing for long periods of times at a stage. I didn't move once from my 3rd row center spot for MMJ last year.

To avoid buying ice and water, I'm taking Leo's advice. I got a 100 quart, Coleman 5-Day Cooler. I'm going to buy dry ice, and take frozen 1/2 gallon milk jugs, fill them with water and freeze them. Put the dry ice on the bottom and put the jugs on top, cover with a towel, and put the meat and dairy over the towel. This way none of your stuff goes bad. Anyone else do this?

No but I think we'll try it, sounds like a great idea.
