This caused me to immediately think of the Cake song "Carbon Monoxide"
"Too much carbon monoxide for me to bare, Too much carbon monoxide for me to bare, Where's the air? Where's the air? Where's the air? Where's the air?"
Last year my girlfriends furnace broke and spewed CO all over the CO alarm went off she got the cat and got out. I had to take her to the hospital and the cat to the vet becasue of it. The CO dector hit over 250 PPM. Any higher or longer and she'd be dead. So be careful.

Thanx, will have to remember that because I'll have a enclosed Gazebo with air conditioning powered by a small generator, of course, outside the gazebo. Anybody near the Win This Van location, stop for a visit and catch some A/C relief, especially if it's like 95 degrees out!

My gf works in the Lexington/fayatte mall in Lexington. (of course) and there is construction going on...a long story short, the carbon monoxide from that closed down the store she works in and her manager passed out. Good thread
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought of the Spektor song first.
Me as well. I started humming "walk-a walk-a walk-a.."
That is a very good reminder. I am all for not being killed.
Karma for being "all for not being killed"!! Me too!!
And for the first time this year I have seen the post with the legend that is CORNCAT NOM NOM NOM! I yelled corncat so many times last year! *crickets* never a response..i even had his cute little picture on the van man! and then on the last day i saw written on a car windshield those beautiful words "corncat?..." I felt so close to what ever complete stranger wrote on that glass! One Love

another CO music trivia quip for you guys:
During Radiohead's video for "No Suprises", Thom Yorke is wearing an astronaut type helmet in which the band thought it would be funny to unknowingly slip him some CO. In the end of the video he passes out.....really.

You sure that wasn't N2O? Filling up someone's astronaut helmet with a colorless, odorless fatally poisonous gas doesn't sound like the kind of prank even Keith Moon would have tried.

Are you kidding? Keith Moon would suck all the C02 out of the helmet and ask to buy more!
