It may be too big. It seems the further out you are the more room you have. If you're in BFE you will likely have room for both. Closer in you'll have to put part of your tent under the canopy. Or you can go to Tent Only and probably have room for both there.

i actually saw a few people get turned down on the way in to centeroo with a brand new glass piece that hadn't been used yet. they didn't get it confiscated, but they had to bring it back to camp (or hide it somewhere)

Your tents will be fine. If they are too big, hook up with the neighbors to share some of their space and share your shade tent. That is what this is all about. Bring both tents.
