Two years ago it was 15 minutes from pretty much anywhere in the day-parking lot.
Edit: Just noticed the rest of your question. We got in with absolutely no wait at 8am on Friday, and no waits the rest of the weekend either. This was at the 2005 fest, traffic patterns might have changed since then though.

Strangely....EXACTLY what he said.^ Getting in on Thursday may be near impossible though.
You enter from SR55 and turn onto Bushy Branch - basically the front entrance to 'Roo. Tell them at the gate and they will point you to the lot (it's really close to the gate - within a 1/4 mile).
