Hey all, I am getting a shopping list together and was wondering what was at the buffet in the VIP area. I know the time or two we stopped by there were burgers and such, not much food for a vegetarian. So what did you all eat? We packed every thing last year.

I asked the same question somewhere else but i think it got all tangled up in a thread...I did read that there was only food served from noon until 9pm....so plan on breakfast and late night munchies....the food last year is in the thread about "convince me to go VIP" or something like that....it's a long one that I just happened to read every single post.

Last year was my first year VIP. I was very impressed by the food. Before i went last year, people told me the food got relativly worse as the weeknd went on. I didn't think so! Just more exspensive food (chicken-ribs bbq = thursday) to (burgers-build Your own tacos = sunday). It was all you can eat- and the lines are very fast moving!!!!!
Beer is free on thursday with a great spread of BBQ food...vegan burgers too. Ithought the veggie food was resonable as well.
All you can eat ice cream sandwiches and popsicles...all weekend. (cooler) beer was cheaper free on thursday...then cheap all weekend long! (ice is cheaper-shorter lines)
The food for th rest of the weekend.
Always salads and breads.... Fried Chicken, Fish, pasta dishes. Shrimp. Lasagna, veggie lasagna. Tacos, Burgers.
Pretty much your basic food gathering..reunion type thing. Not over the top...but definitly ten times better then your basic cafeteria food.
Just the hassle free of cooking, clean up, organizing makes the food tent MUST NEEDED...
You see so much more shows, and you feel more energized!
I figured some of the food is what they feed the people backstage. Not the artists, but like the crew and what-not. I'm positive the artist's have better spreads than what is in VIP (at least I hope they do). It's most definitely being cooked elsewhere and carted over to VIP, though. I would definitely reccomend packing less food than you do in GA. Sandwich meat, and breakfast food are always a must, imo, but we found ourselves eating there at least once a day, usually a mid-afternoon lunch or dinner. We had alot of food left over when we came home, b/c I wasn't sure how the free food would be, so i packed alot of our own. I'm definitely going lighter with the foode this year though.
As I recall there was a good mix of stuff and lots of veggie stuff. The vegetarian dishes seemed to go pretty quick. As an omnivore I enjoyed it all- but then again I ain't real picky and most catered food is cool with me. ;D
