We won't be there until at least noon on Thursday (probably later with the traffic). Unless I get another set before Roo (which could happen mind you) we'll have the flashing pumpkin lights to help us all find our tents I wish it were tomorrow

I'm camping access with my bf, and some friends in a companion car. We'll prob be getting in around noon/1pmish. not really sure what we're gonna get to id our site just yet....but we have some stuff in planning
Say hey johnny boy, the battle call United we stand, divided we fall Together we are what we can't be alone We came to this country you made it our home
Well y'all can look for the tie dyed sheet that has Camp Custie spray painted on it for our camp - it'll be hanging somewhere - somehow - and green christmas lights at night with a mirrored disco cylinder hanging from the EZ up - plus - I'm pretty sure Steel_City_X is bringing his awesomely cool Tent on Top of the Truck (literally - it's on top of the Xterra) you can't miss it.
We park in access every year. No offense to the people who don't get to park there, but I can't imagine having to park somewhere else. Thank God my friend has Joe Namath's knees.
I haven't seen ho much they're charging for the RV companion but we're going in a plain old minivan. If you need to you can send your companion in with us for free. The drag is that we won't be rolling in until Thursday.

Appreciate that, but we'll likely just park it in regular parking and move it down later in the weekend. Some regular campers move down throughout the weekend anyway, so it won't be hard to do.

Are the cars in access packed as tightly as the other camps? We'll have two cars, three tents and an ez-up and want to make sure there's enough room for everyone. There are three people in my car and two in my companion car.
You should have plenty of space unless your tents are huge. Last year we had two cars (actually a minivan and a jeep) two tents and two ez ups and were fine.

My BFF and I will be in accessible, and this is our first 'Roo! We are thinking of coming in on Wednesday night.
I have a question: I'll be in Nashville and my friend will be meeting me there. I would rather ride in with him in his van because, well, waiting around in a long line in a car all alone doesn't sound like much fun. But I was also considering that we might have more room if I follow him in as a companion with my own car. What do y'all think? Would it make that big of a difference in space for our campsite? Nevermind. We are riding from Columbia, SC together.
We'll be joining you fine folks in access this year. My hubby scored his placard with a torn meniscus and arthroscopic surgery. He lost his job over it, but the upside is the access camping. I've been working oodles of extra hours to make extra money to make up for hubby's injury and I can't wait to kick back on the farm. So very ready for this trip! We'll be driving in our black Nissan frontier. Can't wait!
Little change in plans. Since my husband dropped the ball on requesting off from work, and getting his handicap thing done. I will be going with my sister Bonnie.
So instead of a tarp hanging from our EZ up with "Karen & Matt" we will have our "BK lounge" one from 2008 hanging. It has a picture of the earth on it too.
We'll still be in access so if you see our sign come and say hi!

If you follow him in - you will have more space but I don't know that you will need it if it is just the two of you - there is normally plenty of room in access and I don't see that thsi year would really be much different - but you never know.
Same here! Taking the kids camping Memorial Day weekend so they complain a little less when we leave
Not bringing yours either? I know my daughter sure is jealous. (She's 14.) I'm bribing her with ideas of hopefully taking her and my son to Lollapalooza I'm really wanting to go to that and there are more bands she'd like there anyway.
meg- Thanks for the info. We're just going to ride in together.
Hey all, quick question, maybe someone on this thread can answer it.
I'm going to roo with a friend who just found out she has mono. As a result of her mono she has an enlarged spleen and won't be able to walk far distances without risking damage to her spleen from over-exertion. We were looking into getting her a temporary handicap permit but we don't have enough turnaround time to get one for her. If we were to bring a doctors note and request accessible camping when we arrive at the gate, would they accommodate us?
We're not trying to cheat the system or anything like that to get good camping, but I am actually concerned that if we get stuck out in BFE she will be exhausting herself and we might not have easy access to a medic if worse comes to worse.
Any words of advice?
This is my first Bonnaroo, so I don't know for sure, but I would suggest contacting the accessible people: access@bonnaroo.com and asking them. Edit: The contact name at that email is Laura Grunfeld, Bonnaroo’s Access Consultant.
Laura's great. Not to sound like your mama but is Roo a good call for someone who was just dxd with mono? Fever would be my primary concern. Good luck.

I'll be joining y'all in Access this year. I'll actually be driving the companion car. One of my friends broke her leg a couple of months ago. It was a pretty bad break and she's still not up to par....oh, and on top of the break she now has a screw coming out! Ouch!

If I can find my placard for my leg, I, Pondo, will be camping in access. My leg is still beyond messed uo and I got a placard but only use it when I have to walk alot.

^We actually just discussed that like 5 minutes ago! We were going to drive halfway on Wednesday night and get a hotel room but we just decided to drive the whole way so looks like we'll be there around 12 or 1 on Wednesday night.
