Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm talking about the exit off the highway. 111 or 112 or whatever. It was closed and when we tried to explain to the cops that were guarding it that we were supposed to get off there and showed them the email with Laura( Person who handles Access) even, they wouldn't let us off there.
I mean, over all not a major deal, but I'd like to alleviate sitting in line, to get to the tollbooth, to get rerouted to the back of a line again

I'm geared up and ready to go. Got my placard ready; pick it up on Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you cool cats out there in Access camping.
I am getting soo excited; I can hardly stand it!
(I'm not excited about having qualified for the handicap tag; the condition that I have isn't fun by any means; I'm just saying that I am really excited about 'Roo.)

I'll, apparently, be there in access with Wolfaroo. So stoked to be able to go in Wednesday and nt have to haul gear to tent only. PLus being able to camp by our cars is clutch. We'll save so much energy.

Hell yes, that was really the worst part about Bonnaroo for me last year, even with the taxis. Pulling and carrying 80 lbs of crap across bumpy fields and gravel roads in the intense heat was hellish, even for a relatively short distance (car to taxi). Going to be so good just cruising up to the front and camping. Can't wait.

Access is broken up kind of strangely into 4 or 5 small camps. I think if you put them together they'd be the equivalent of a medium size camp at 'roo, possibly a little larger.
I can't tell you how many people camp there but there will be space so don't worry about that. I don't ever remember feeling crowded. I mean you've got neighbors all around but there's still room to move about.
Damn, I wish we had the schedule or something else I could obsess on!
^^^ Are you coming in an RV or a tent? Cause if he's on CPAP you'll need power right? I don't know if I could have done Roo really pregnant, I swear it would depend on the weather. Last year nearly killed my group.
We would be in a tent. But I talked to Laura, I think is her name, and she said they are setting up a tent in Centeroo that will cater to people that need to sleep with a CPAP and don't have one that has batteries. If they need to charge a battery there is a place to do that as well.
It's going to be an adventure.
As far as being pregnant, I was in 09 as well. But I'm going to be about a month further along this time around. 09 wasn't to bad. I don't remember it being hot in our tent. Last year was a different story.
If we can get the tickets then we are going. If we decide that we can't do it we can always leave early.
I wish I could be in a RV though. My husbands uncle has one but it's his baby and he doesn't even let anyone else even drive it.

Check with Steel_City_X on here - he has a CPAP and camps in Access - he brings a small quiet generator with him.
On another note - elusiveboz got a permanent placard yesterday because of his leg - so we are all set for Access camping this year.
Glad that they are opening the gates at 7p.m on Wednesday this year - think we are skipping Bamaroo and going in on Wednesday night
1karen1 - Hope you applied for the scholarship, sounds like you guys could definitely use it. With you on wanting the RV, my parents have one but using it would not be worth the shit involved in getting it.
We definitely won't be in until Thursday but we are talking about covering a few hours Weds night to get in at a reasonable hour.
I know that Access has a way to charge batteries as Tyler's wheelchair is always rolling and I know he comes in from California.
I did actually apply. I'm really hoping for that or another miracle in the for of winning a ticket because the funds just aren't there this year and we really want a weekend before the new baby comes. So as of now we are planning the trip as if we are going, but it still might not happen. BOO.
^^^I'm with both of you on the RV - we had one year before last - rented it from Cruise America - but - while it was nice to have - it was a PITA really because it had to be back by a certain time - clean and tanks dumped - then there was the constant checking during the weekend to make sure the generator was not on all the time using the gas and then having the tank dumped while we were there.
The A/C was nice and it was nice to have a bathroom but I'm not sure it was worth the hassle
Good. I was worried that we were going to show up in Access with my usual festival set up of a tent and E-Z up and all of these people would be in RV's. Then I didn't want to be looked down upon because if we can rough it in a tent then why are we taking up space in access?
My husband assured me it was hormones that was causing all of the thinking.
So if Sunday goes the way I want it to with the scholarship then we will begin packing.
If not, then I'll probably cry because, well hormones and such. At least that's what I'll blame it on so I don't get made fun of by my husband for crying over not going to Bonnaroo.
I cannot wait to hang with you gals in Access. Over the years of reading your posts, I have become somewhat of an admirer! 1Karen1... my fingers are crossed for you and the scholarship! ( my toes too!)
Yeah, what I'm going to do is continue planning as if I already had a ticket. It will be a whole mind over matter thing and I'll just will myself there.
So the next thing we need to do is invest in a good air mattress. I've been fine sleeping on the ground normally but I have a feeling if I do this time I won't be able to get up. You'll hear me yelling from my tent like those old lady's in the Life Alert commercials.

^^^I've been lurking about here for the past couple weeks, haha. I'll be in access this year as well. I am the companion vehicle to a friend that is handicapped. We'll be going in Wednesday night, at first I was worried we would be the only ones in there early, but I'm glad to see there are others! You guys will know our site by the paper lanterns and solar lights.....and maybe my dinosaur flag (Haven't worked out the stability issues yet) But I encourage visitors, stop by and say hello! Also come get me on Friday for the brunch, cause I am 99.9% sure to get lost. Last time I went to the brunch chico had to come find me.
I'll be in Access again this year with some friends. Looking forward to it of course. Hope our spot is as sweet as the one we had last year (we were like a 'block' from the tower and the side entrance). Can't wait can't wait can't wait.

Yeah we had a year like that, it took us less than a minute to get to the gate, I figure this year since we're going in on Wednesday night instead of Thursday we'll be in the back of the access camping, which is fine with us obviously. Haha, hell I was in BFE last year and still loved it, anything else is just that much nicer.
