Thanks for posting that, Kat. I think the increased enforcement in Access Camping is something some people will get screwed on if they haven't read about it beforehand.

I think so too, thus posting. I'm not sure about the vehicle passes. Has this been a problem in the past?

I've parked in handicapped/access camping the past 3 years. last year we just went up to the access camping area and showed them the placard, and some volunteer posted on a folding chair just waved us by without even looking at us.

This seems like short notice to tell people you have to email someone to get a vehicle pass for your car. I'm sure they've had the guide up for a little while but how can they expect anyone to know you need to email someone for a vehicle pass? I mean, we have to days till the deadline to get that...
I ,obviously they can't turn away a handicapped patron for not having a bonnaroo issued vehicle pass, right? So really you are going to have a tiny number of people that actually print of this vehicle pass and a lot of people that don't.
Here's my e-mail to Laura this morning and her response
We come in via Chattanooga and have never had any problem with our hangtag but if you'd like us all to have a vehicle pass then please shoot one my way.
Heck, last year we got in so fast I thought we were there on the wrong day
Response@ I am glad to hear of your good fortune but it can't hurt in case you happen to arrive at a time when there is more traffic.
The attached pass is to help those who are directing traffic on the highway and to help make sure you end up at the correct exit for the Accessible Camping Area. Print it on white paper with black ink. A heavier paper might work better. Cut along indicated lines. Hang from your rear view mirror when you are approaching Bonnaroo on I-24. Give a copy to your companion vehicle if you have one. DO NOT use this for VIP Accessible Camping, as it will not send you to the correct exit.
You will still need to bring your government-issued accessible parking tag in order to camp in the Accessible Camping area. Be sure that you have read the Access Info Guide that was updated on May 6, link below.
Sooooo..... I realize I am past the May 23 deadline, but I may, worst-case-scenario, be joining you lovely folks in access. Do you think this will be an issue? (By "this" I mean e-mailing them this late in the game about the parking pass thingy)
it's not like it's personalized or anything, i'm sure i or someone else could shoot you a copy of the email if you would like. If you would like to send me a message where you would want the forward to go, i'd help ya out.

If all you're needing is the extra hanger they're sending then just send Laura an e-mail and I'm sure she'll send you one. If not let me know.
Thanks everyone! I e-mailed Laura this morning, and she sent me the PDF. It's just-in-case my ankle isn't better, but I am really really hoping it will be by then. Either way, I'll be walking around Centeroo with my pimp cane ;D

Do you already have a handicap pass from your doctor? The tag from Bonnaroo is in addition. Hope this helps.

On the bright side, your pimp cane would make it easier to find you!

This is true! If Druid lets me, I may decorate it (I'm borrowing a cane from her).
My ankle is MUCH better! I stayed off of it for most of the day yesterday. The swelling has gone down a lot, all that is left is some bruising on both sides of the foot and just a slight swell. I think I'll be ok for Roo!

Uhhhhh....I hate to add onto this....buuuuuut do you guys think it's ok if I email Laura this stage in the game? My friend said he'd take care of it, and he hasn't. Obviously the only way to do things is to do them yourselves....
If not, could I bug someone for the email of the PDF? I'm going to try emailing her first tho, I hate asking for stuff.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

I sent you a Message but just in case, Katbur2, who has literally been like a blessing beyond belief for me in my quest to get to Roo with Access Camping, can you email the PDF as well?

just a reminder. dont wait til you get there to get your access status straight. get a pass from your doctor or something or take your access tag that you have on your car. they do check them at the gate. you can bring in one other vehicle. you can go to access camp on wed night with no problems at all. you will be very close to CR if you go wed instead of thursday.
there are a few access passes given out inside roo. so you can go to the pods and ask for an access pass but those are really really limited for good reasons
i saw a ton of people in access where no one in their group had any visible handicapping conditions at all, however, im sure they had a pass somehow to get in and get into access. dont plan on going to the gate and telling them something and getting into access.
a companion can get into the access gate with another person who has an accessible bracelet. you can also get into the special seating with your companion if they have an accessible pass
my buddy who goes with me is truly disabled and really needs to be close. it is hard for him to make it even with a scooter. he comes with accessible id and we have had no problem at all.
Could someone send me the PDF access pass? I just had knee surgery two weeks ago (for the second time this year) and the trek would be difficult. Would I need anything else besides the PDF to get in?
