I need suggestions What did you do about food and water? I'm worried about water to drink.
I'm volunteering cleanvibes post show(and can't find anything about buying shuttle passes on the Bonnaroo. c om site) is it easy to get passes at the airport?
also, because I'm doing this on a budget.. do you think if I just buy a cheap tent and throw a tarp over (it if it rains) I'll be good?
Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks -Cora
From what everyone else has said, the water in Centeroo is drinkable. Well water I believe. If you're really worried about it, you can buy some of water conditioning tabs to take w/ you. You can get them at any camping supply store. As for tent, I am an avid camper....you should be fine if you secure your tent and tarp to the ground w/ stakes or something. Have you seen the "tent tornado" videos?

I flew in last year and it was about as easy and hassle free as I could've hoped for. The shuttle was great. I highly recommend it if you are flying into Nashville. The shuttle takes a back road into the site so you don't have to sit in the car line waiting to get in. Info on the shuttle can be found in the travel section on the 'roo website

If you wanted to get crafty, you could ship your gear by FedEx or DHL. Use your name with their address and mark the package/label "Hold at Station". Ground service is the cheapest and I know DHL will hold onto the package for atleast a week before they return it to sender. You could take a cab from the airport to their station (which is usually within a couple miles of the airport or on airport property), grab your stuff and cab back to the airport for the shuttle, unless the shuttle has baggage limitations.
Most airlines allow two to three bags per ticket, with weight restrictions usually 50lbs. per bag; so, you can bring 150lbs. of gear with you on the plane, thats probably all you need... As far as water and food, I've seen coolers on the luggage belt many times, just use that as one of your bags... just get the ice when you get to Roo, or have dry ice in it.... I'm sure the shuttle service realizes people will have quite a few bags with them...
