Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This will be my first year going to Bonnaroo, and I'm so fricken' excited, but still trying to figure everything out.
To start out with, huge props to everyone who's posted all this info - feeling way more prepared already. I did read through most of the posts, so I hope my question isn't redundant...
Do the locals or people who have been before have any advice for the people flying in? I was planning to take the shuttle, but I'm wondering how much everything (ice, water, food, etc) is going to cost me if I have to buy it all at the festival.
Does anyone have advice about logistics of picking up necessities for the festival in Nashville? I could fly in a day early to give myself time to pick stuff up, if needed.
Does anyone know if the airport shuttle has any sort of restriction on how much stuff you can bring with you?
Thanks in advance for any help you can pass on. Can't wait to see you all there!
^^ i know someone posted an areal photo last year that showed where wal-mart is in relation to the festival grounds. it's on the board somewhere, but exactly where is the question! however, i do know that the wal-mart is very very very close.
however, i've always heard that their shelves are pretty bare come bonnaroo weekend. i can't confirm this because i've never gone to that wal-mart myself, but it seems pretty likely. perhaps you'd be better off getting your things in nashville.

Hey Kilgore-
I'd be willing to take you on a trip to Wal-Mart if you get there a day early. We're going VIP, so I can't take you with me to Roo itself, but if you got there on Wednesday sometime, I'm sure we could work something out.
Can't even believe how generous that offer is... karma to you
Will message you later, but just had to post to say this is what I love about this kind of festival - the people who go are all the chill people who are happy to lend a hand whenever they can. Can't wait to see (I think it's about) 90.000+ of them all in the same place.
Have a feeling this will be the most rockin' weekend ever, and not just because of the music
Also, there's no limit to what you can carry on the shuttle. 99% of shuttlers have just got off a plane so they're limited by the airlines so there's still plenty of luggage space left under the bus.
EDIT: Is your screen name anything to do with Kilgore Trout? What a guy...
If you're coming in through Nashville on I-24 East, get off at Exit 66B (Smyrna) and there is a Kroger's, Publix and Home Depot on the right and a Lowe's on the left less than a mile off the interstate. You can get everything you need and the traffic will be less than any other exit closer in. Kroger's usually has fairly cheap gas also so fill up, too.
Watch your speed for that mile though as Smyrna likes to give speeding tickets.

Figure this will be a good thread to ask this on, so here it goes. Do they set up many roadblocks leaving Bonnaroo? Just wandering if it would be a better idea to leave via interstate, or by backroads going back to Murfreesboro. That would be a major inconveinience for anyone leaving roo so it would be great knowledge to know ahead of time.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
