I think what I'm going to do and let out about a cup or two out of the gallon and then freeze. Thus the is ore room for the water to expand.
As for msfelithatsme there were some Inforooers talking about getting together and going to a walmart or sam's a little outside of Roo where you can go buy stuff. I cant remember the thread but it is an option if you want to stock up before you head inside. Otherwise i've read that campers who are vending are much more cheaper than the designated roo venders. Otherwise find the Inforoo camp heh you find friends and everything there....
Our problem was never running out of water. It was running out of cold water. I always just carried 3-4 empty or new bottles of water into centeroo in my backpack to refill, so I won't have to leave while waiting for the next show, and I was always fine. However, what kills you is sitting around your campsite. Its so hot you end up going through your cold water pretty fast. I think we're going to try the dry ice this year though.

we had the same problem but dry ice seriously did the trick - we got dry ice and had to switch out normal ice once in a while but it really worked. but i sedriously ended up buying cold water alot of the time just for some COOLNESS

Hi Oleander! Thanks. Teehee I'm going with my friends who are from UF so I know they going to have gatorade *rolls her eyes* I find it funny my campus does not sell gatorade but powerade with the vendors and stores. *laughs* Ahh I love the funny little things we have between us. Keeps it interesting.

That is pretty funny, I had wondered about that before. Good old Florida/Florida State. Good old fashioned hate. Go Gators.

Yeah its mostly a joke "love hate" relationship. A lot of UF students transfer over to FSU for graduate school I think and vice versa. But yeah I noticed the other day when I was at Publix marketplace a display of gatorade remained untouched and onsale. *shrugs* I love it when my gator friends visit and I them. I have fun teasing them how much they suck and well they comply with equal vigor of us. heh a couple of middle school kids thought to create their version of the seminole drink called Noleade. IT was funny, cute little kids...

Yeah, I'm from Jacksonville, raised a Gator...I have friends at both schools. It is great fun to talk trash, although it's not so much fun anymore, since we ("we?" I'm not on the team) just bitch-slapped the world of college sports (mostly Ohio State).
Funny how Nole-ade looks like malt liquor. You didn't steal that can, did you?
Post by princessvwc on Apr 24, 2007 19:00:52 GMT -5
No I didn't. You can buy them at gas stations here in Tally. Though not as popular cause I don't see bunches of people downing it. Better to buy Vitamin water or Powerade.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Have you guys had Smart Water? It's just water with electrolytes added into it, no flavoring. I like it because the bottles are gigantic. I froze them and took em into Centeroo last year. The 33oz frozen bottles ended up lasting for awhile.

I feel like caffiene isn't the best idea (at least for me) at roo.
I have found that it doesn't last very long, and I am more likely to get headaches in the afternoon if I drink it. I stick with the powerade and good old well water.
Princess: I freeze all my gallon jugs of water and never take any water out first. Very few ever split. . Emptying some water still may not stop what little splitting you get anyway. Most splitting is caused by the liquid water being trapped by ice around it so it can't move into the open areas. That's why an open glass of water may break when it freezes.
In short I wouldn't bother emptying any water. Just my opinion.
Walmart sells 5 gallon collapsible water jugs in the camping department. We brought two filled ones to Bonnaroo last year for cooking, coffee and cleaning cookware for 5 of us. Worked great.
We also had several cases of frozen bottled water/gaterade.

most places that sell it will also sell the individual packets too (1qt). This is a good way to try the different flavors if you want. Ive tried em all and I always pick orange. Fantastic stuff though and a great hangover cure.
I found this stuff at Wal-mart called Morning Spark - it is little flavor packets that you can put in your bottled water - like koolaid, crystal light or gatorade but the big difference for me is that it has caffiene in it - I confess - I am an addict - and while I like water and will drink plenty of it - for the mornings and late nights - these will be awesome
I think the closest I got to Farm water last year was the fountain - not sure I even knew where the wash stations were - baby wipes, bottled water and a washrag

I'm pretty picky about drinking tap/well water, but had no issues with the water at Bonnaroo. I carried a Nalgene everywhere and refilled in Centeroo, camp, wherever. I was thrilled not to have to spend a fortune on water or worry about lugging full bottles everywhere.
