This has probably been addressed many times, but I just though rather than sift through all the posts, I'd ask prob a routine question... My hsuband and I are coming for the first time this year and we are looking into a popup to attach to our truck. Does this require purchasing an rv ticket and if so, do we need a companion ticket as well?
Hello, I'm bringing a pop up too. I asked the info site at bonnaroo if a companion pass was needed for a non motorized rv. They said I did need a companion pass and gave me the link to the ticket site. I contacted the ticket site and they said I didn't need a companion pass. Well, I sent the email from the ticket site to the info. site and they responded back two days later that a new policy was in affect and I did need a companion pass for my truck. I finally got the correct info. and had to reorder my rv + companion pass. They can't just add a companion once you order just an rv pass. They refund the first rv pass I bought. Totally confusing! If this is a new policy, there is going to be a lot of people showing up with non motorized rv's and they are not going to have the right pass. What are they going to send them away because they are missing a 25.00 companion pass? If you have any questions, I would contact the information site at Bonnaroo. It's info@bonnaroo.com By the way, what is the deal charging people with a pop up 25 more dollars that some guy bring a 50' 250,000 class A ? See you there!
well i just emailed info@bonnaroo.com and asked the same question, i am also bringing a pop up camper, and if this is true it doesn't make any sense at all
I have a feeling this is going to turn into a big mess. If there are big delays getting in because of this, heads will roll! I asked them if anyone has ever brought an non-motorized rv in without something to tow it with. Of course you need a tow vehicle. The way they explain companion vehicles makes you think they are talking about motorized rv's and bringing an extra car along. They say you have to park, the companion vehicle somewhere other than by the rv. What???? Totally F'd up!!! I'm guessing the people manning the ticket and info websites are not paid. Hope they straighten this out.
RV PARKING AREA / RV PARKING PASSES – (Buses and Oversize vehicles included)
There will be designated RV only parking areas in the campgrounds this year. All RVs attending Bonnaroo will be required to park in these areas. Due to the increase in the number of RVs attending, and the amount of space they take up, there will be a limited number of spaces available in these areas. One RV pass will be required for each RV. Parking all of the RVs together allows us to provide adequate camping space for traditional campers and better maintain the camping grounds while improving traffic flow. The RV camping area will make it easier for RVs to exit the grounds after the event, and to be serviced throughout the weekend.
RV Parking Passes must be purchased in advance to reserve an RV space. If you do not have an RV Parking Pass, you will not be allowed to enter with your RV. Only RVs with RV parking passes will be allowed on site. An RV is defined as any vehicle larger either in length, width or height than a normal sixteen (16) passenger van. All oversized vehicles, trailers, campers that are towed and busses are considered RV’s.
NO BOX TRUCKS WILL BE ALLOWED!
RV Parking Passes are on-sale now and available through ticketing for $75.00 per RV (Including all fees). Everyone in an RV must posses a regular festival ticket to enter. Each RV will only need one RV pass to enter. Each RV space will be 20’ X 50’. Tents can be set up if they are within this space. Any slides or awnings must fit within the designated space as well.
PLEASE NOTE: There are no on site gas vendors. Be sure to fill your tank before entering the festival grounds.
Ok so you have your ticket, that is your vehicle pass. And you have your RV, that is the RV pass.
That is all that is needed.
I asked the same quesion last year since we tow a trailer.
Our ticket(s) allows you to bring in a vehicle, the RV pass allows the RV..
Here is the response that I got from AC Entertainment:

Hey there, Michael. The official word is that a trailer & tow vehicle together count as a single RV, so you don't need a companion pass - you just need the RV upgrade to your VIP tickets.
Cheers, Ian Blackburn
I replied and apperciated Ian's help and told him he may want to inform music today and the people answering for info@bonaroo.com, as they are saying something completely different

good, last year they said you couldn't park your companion vehicle with the rv, but everyone did anyways, the people behind me last year were just in an explorer. So, i dont think the people in charge of parking care too much
Well then, info@bonnaroo had me buy a companion pass and I didn't need one. Someone owes me 25 bucks. Not that after paying 1,200 plus dollars 25 more is any big deal, it's the principle of the thing. I'm getting my 25 back or someone there owes me a case of GOOD beer! Why can't life be easier?
Well, what do you know. Bonnaroo.com wrote back yesterday and said they were very sorry for all the confusion. They will be refunding my companion pass money ASAP. I think someone got their butt chewed. At least the issue is resolved. I wonder how many people are getting money back? ???
I would probably say quite a few due to the answers that were being given at Music Today. I am glad you are getting back to even biglou, Now if we can only make it June already.
