Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So now that Bonnaroo is drawing closer, my group is FINALLY willing to start planning after months of "Hey, man, its far away... we'll deal with that later!" and to my surprise there are all very pro caravan-ing it up... though it will be a tiny caravan of two cars. They definitely made valid point that we will have way more room to camp, and we can thus bring two tents and maybe a shade tent which will make things more comfy for all of us.
We only have about an hour and a half, tops, drive to Manchester from Franklin, Tennessee so its not going to have to be a huge planned out thing as far as the trip - but I very worried our cars will get seperated as we are coming into 'Roo. Our plan is to drive past Roo and turn around at Exit 117 to come back and get in through Exit 112 in attempts to get a somewhat decent spot. We are probably going to arrive early Thursday morning, maybe 9am.
Do any of ya'll have experience with two cars driving together? Did you get seperated? Is it pretty easy to find two parking spots next to each other? Any thing in particular we should keep in mind?

Just make sure that your cars get in line together. After that, the first car just has to tell the parking/traffic guys that both cars are camping together. They expect many caravans of campers. You have to camp wherever they direct you but, you will be together. Just be sure to get in line together before you get to the actual farm. You shouldn't have any problem.
Anyone else want to elaborate?

^that and right after you get your car searched and get your wristbands, tell the people that you are with someone and would like to pull over and wait for them so you can park together. If you do all of this you will be fine.

We went with 2 cars last year, kept together, and told the parking guys we were together and we were fine. They did actually park us behind each other and we needed to be next to each other, but our nice neighbors just switched places with their car.
you will be good. whoever gets through the gate first, they can just wait like 5 or 6 car lengths ahead of where they came in until the next car goes through. They wont gove you a hard time. just make sure you stay together the rest of the way through.
Tip. . . . . have stuff ready for all passangers to jump out and CLAIM SPACE!!!!
we went with 5 cars and one got pretty thoroughly searched. we told the gatekeepers and then proceeded to sit one car at a time 20 yards past the booths until all 5 were there...took f-o-r-e-v-e-r
edit: oh but after that we were all together and just followed the guys waving the flags crazily...you can definitely pull 2 off
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
...and even if somebody manages to get in the middle of your caravan while in line (as has happened to us every year!), just have your lead car hang back when the line moves and ask those folks in the middle to move to the front. They'll be happy to help out.
we took 2 cars last year all the way from new jersey and back, we stayed together on the road the entire way without even really trying, once we got there we let the toll guys know we were together, and we went right in got an AWESOME spot and plenty of room.
