I can't decide if I should invest in a small table to have at the campsite....there will be 2 of us in a 12x15 screenhouse with the tent underneath, so we should have about 6-7 feet of shaded area.
So, table or no table? Would this come in handy for playing cards, eating, whathaveyou, instead of using the cooler top?

Having a table is great - coolers are a foot or more lower and require me to lean forward to grab my frosty beverage... ;D
I always bring a card table and a couple chairs. It comes in handy for a radio, eating or just sitting your drink on. I've never had a problem with room. And it's come in handy as an area divider if you have pushy neighbors would try to crowd you out. (happened once. Nice people just kept encroaching more and more) Of course I never have a tent under the canopy as I sleep in a hammock.
I brought a folding bench table that everyone, including our neighbors, used the whole time we were at camp. (probably because I had a sun umbrella too) I think I bought at Kroger.
I guess it depends on how much time you plan on spending at your camp. We never brought one mainly because we didn't spend much time there. We'd wake up. Eat a quick meal. Then head to centeroo for the day
someone in our camp last year brought a folding table and in all honesty, it served merely as a dumping ground for stuff and became overcluttered after like the first day.
we did not do any campsite cooking/eating however, so if you are doing that i think it would be worthwhile. otherwise, i would think its too big to prove useful. i know i sure as hell ain't fitting a table of any size into my honda
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I agree. Esp. if you're in VIP (and eating in the Food tent), I wouldn't see the need for it. Maybe in GA, if I were eating at my tent....

when i went to roo in '03 (god it's been so long!) we had a table similar to machub's but with no umbrella. It folds up incredibly small, like a briefcase, and comes with the benches included. it was remarkably useful! I think we got ours at target for a really reasonable price, i'd definately say look into it
We had that exact table without the umbrella and it broke.. mostly because it was on un-even ground while people were sitting at it, I think it may be fixable but we're looking at a new one

Our group likes shots. Especially tequila shots.... having a nice surface to put a cutting board on for limes really helps, and like Vols said.. not having to clear the cooler top of either someones butt or of random items that have been set there when you want a brew really helps
That long skinny one isn't going to hold up very well. The ground at your campsite is probably not going to be level. You need something with a wider base or thicker legs for stability. One little gust of wind and that thing will topple.

Well, it weighs about 17 pounds...not very lightweight. My tent weighs less than that!
Anyway, most tables have the same legs. I realize the ground won't be even...but most tables will be like this one, and I would assume this would be as good as any. (I don't have enough room for the table in the photos above.)
If I have to, I can always holster that puppy down.
i didn't bring a table last year. infact, i didn't even really think of it til i read this. but i think i will bring one this year.... if it fits into my civic.
