we got this coleman "tailgater folding table" from sports authority today. website says $44.99, but it is only $34.99 in store...
i go to a few races/games/festivals a year, so this is very useful for me.
features:
- Large table that is easy to fold and transport - Durable metal frame and hinges - Moisture-resistant hardboard top - Braced U-legs for extra strength - L 24-in; H 48-in - Seats four comfortably - Folds-up with a luggage-style handle that makes it easy to carry - No assembly required

Is it really four feet tall? ("H 48-in") ??? I'm actively searching for a fold-up table, and that one looks pretty good, but I don't think my fold-up chairs will put a sitter high enough to grab a beer off a 4-ft-high table...
We randomly ended up with one similar to this last year, and it saved our asses. The girl that brought it didn't even know what it was until we took it out of the sack. She used to follow Phish w/her X and they had a lot of camping shit.
I haven't been able to find the exact one, which was wood, but this is close. It's pretty pricey as well, especially for walmart. Prolly bringing a card table that old as hell, but would be perfect.

4 feet isnt all that high
If you're sitting down it is-- unless you're 9 feet tall, or have a 5-foot reach, or are sitting in a 3-foot-high chair...
I was just thinking that Sports Authority's height listing might be a typo, and I was hoping to get the actual height from someone who actually knew...
My 4 year old daughter has a little table and chair set in her play room. for the past 2 years Ive folded up her table and taken it with us to Roo. Its not very big but enough to put our snacks and things we use all the time on. The first year I brought it our friends made fun of us then last year the first thing they said during our pre roo meeting of the minds was "dont forget the table"
I always take a table. I have carried the same table for 15 years with the stickers on it to prove it. The table is very useful especially if you are cooking. I cook one large meal a day for everyone in our camp and I do not have any idea how I would camp with out it.
yeah...those demensions are screwed up. we just used ours for the richmond race last weekend and they worked great. with the legs extended out, it stands about 2.5 ft. the length of the table unfolded is about 48 in.(or 4ft) and the width is 24inches.
L - 48 inches unfolded W - 24 inches H - 30 inches with legs extended.

Thanks, g!
I think I'll go ahead & snag one of those. 2.5' is just about right to go with my fold-out camping chairs, which put your ass around 16" high. (That roll-out table looks OK, but I think I'll go for this bigger, sturdier one since I'm bringing the Pimp Van and space isn't much of an issue.) BUT...
With a big table like this, I'd like to leave it out & set up the whole time... Do you think someone would steal it? Maybe one of you 'Roo veterans can approximate the odds of that... Thanks!
I always leave everything out and have never had anything stolen. Even when I was right next the the main walkway outside Centeroo (My stuff did get stepped on sometimes though.)
Of course I don't leave $$$ or my car keys out. Let's not tempt fate.
But realistically, if it you're really worried about it getting stolen, lock it up.

This is a really cool thing, table/cooler/stools all fold up together...
Target $59.99
Wow this is pretty extravagant...but I like it...a lot.
We used this last year and its okay but the ground wasn't level anywhere we set it and we spilled alot. its very low too. I will be bringing the card table again this year, it worked great the year before.
soo heres my situation my friends and i made a beer pong table and covered it with patterns using beer bottle caps. Now we are driving and thought we should bring it but do u think it really is worth it. This is the size of a regular picnic table soo im not sure if we will even have enough room for it in the camp site...

Picnic-table-size? Sounds too big. Just grab one of those Coleman fold-outs, get drinking (to get the caps) and create a scaled-down version to bring to Roo!
