Thank you! I was starting to feel like a total fiend or drunk or something!
2 years ago I spent 700 dollars, and had a great time. Last year I was broke due to some unfortunate circumstances shortly before roo, spent about 100 dollars, still had a great time. If you have lots of money you will have no trouble spending it, but if you are on the less money side, I would say a great time can still be had for 200 bucks if you spend wisely. That being said, I am bringing 600 to 700 dollars with me, I don't drink, so that saves me money, but I am one of shakedown's biggest custies

I know that it's 100% ridiculous but, I still feel like I'm going to be short! The Shakedown goodies and Centeroo beer really get to me! ....sigh......
starting now (school got out friday) all my paychecks are going towards roo funds and i'm going to be working more and more hours... i hope to have $400 to spend at roo

I brought $420 last year (funny, huh?) and I'm taking more this time. I may just have a wider variety of "likes" than some other people, but there's also the glass and other stuff.
i have a milk jug filled with change iv been saving since last roo, so whatevers it comes out to is what im brining plus like 200 depending on how much cash i drop at jam on the river. in my experience the more money u bring the more u spend, in 05 i dropped like 500bucks on i dont even know what, last year i brought 300 and spent 200. this year im hoping to only use about 200-250

I am planning on bring at least 600 to cover the various nightlife expenses. I hear the ATM's run out pretty quick so its better to have it and not need it then well you know need it and be screwed. So I may leave there with plenty in my pocket on the way home but I wouldnt want to get caught assed out in the middle of roo with no dough.

My husband (Killer Bee Relay Team) and I spent about $800 last year. We plan to bring about the same this year, but hopefully won't waste so much money on beer and food at Centeroo. Gotta save it for souvenirs and unmentionables at Shakedown!

I will be limiting the amount of money I spend on food there other than a few random times or if I smell something I cant pass up (or if there is a deal to good to pass up). Will be cooking soups and such whenever at camp to re-energize, and have the rest of my money go towards souveneirs and fluffy unmentionables. So all in all I will spend around 400 and have an emergency stash that will not be touched until the weekend is almost over.

Last year when I couldn't really go to Bonnaroo because of a lack of funds I decided to start a change bank savings for this years Bonnaroo. I've been putting change in it everyday for the past year now. It's huge and Im pretty sure there's a couple hundred dollars in there. I can't wait to cash it in! Plus I'm also bringing like 400 dollars as well. So I'll be all set. It's those damn Centeroo beers that I end up spending a vast majority of my money on. When I'm walking around all day long in the hot Tennessee sun I can't get the idea out of my head of enjoying a nice cool one on tap.

I don't know how much money I spent on ice last year... jesus, that was retarded. Last year I brought like 200 dollars, blew allot of it the first day like an idiot, and barely had enough money for gas to get back home. This year I'm thinking about just using the atm there. Is that a good idea or not?

^^i've heard that the atm's run out of cash after awhile and then that's it, so i don't know if that would be a good idea - but last year i got my $ out of the atm on the first day...

This is our big vacation of the summer and we spent like 1200, between the 2 of us last year. We like to party and have fun. I can suck up some sweetwater blue, like all day in centerroo.

Well, last year I brought about $275 and spent about $200, but we were seriously hurting for $$ by Sunday. Plus I skipped out on a lot of stuff I wanted to buy/do because I was trying to save money. This year I plan on bringing at least $400. This is my one vacation of the summer, and I'm going to have whatever I want. Plus, I'm 21 this year, so I'll definitely be drinking. Glad I'm getting that scholarship money in at the end of May to fund Roo! I'd like to thank UAB for that one, haha!

i've brought a little bit more spending cash with me every year. in '02 i only brought maybe $100, anyways, whatever it was, i ran out by saturday afternoon and it was horrible! by last year i had worked my way up all the way to $500 which was perfect in my opinion. i brought home around $100, but i also left on sunday afternoon. if you can swing it, bring more, not less. running out of cash at bonnaroo sucks really bad.

Since my ticket and gas money and food & drink money (for the most part) is all being paid for in advance, I'm probably going to bring around $300 just for fun and souvenirs. Might go to $400 just in case though, lucky me I get paid the week before Roo. maybe I'll just cash the entire paycheck and bring it with me

Don't worry poopzilla, I was thinking the same thing. I took about 1100 dollars last year for me alone, and I think I came back with about 47 dollars.
I have been every year and even the first year I spent 600-700 bones. I am not thrifty though, I drink A LOT, and I'm pretty much to the point in my life where I double up on my "unmentionables".
BUT, It's worth every frickin penny. Already got about 600 stashed away. Can't wait to blow it all!

so glad I was referred to this thread! It makes me feel a lot better! My boyfriend and I can only afford to bring around $350 (maybe more, maybe less) and that's with the generosity of my parents, brother, and grandparents. I'm so lucky my birthday is right around roo! Next year though, I know I'll mos def want to bring $ in the figures of $500-$600, because I lika having funds for whatever may come up,
