Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
the sirius comedy stations are a lifesaver for the long road trips. We drove from OH to FL last fall (never doing THAT again) and Caroline Rhea absolutely busted me up in West Virginia.
My bf doesn't *hate* driving. He does hate that when we take my car on long trips like this that he can't help out more than keeping fresh cd's in the cd changer and keeping track of the navigational tools. He just never learned stick, which is wierd for a kid that grew up in the country. I blame nintendo.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
Our drive is 8 hours, but we're staying at the secret location in a secret room with secret ice machines on Wed. night. So meeting up 10am ish won't be an issue.
BUT- (and forgive me if we've gone over this) we will have an RV-- still means we can park nearby, but maybe not IN the actual Inforoo camp, of course. We'd like to be near the catering tent, but don't have much other preference (except that I'd rather not get near one of those giant tower/lights/generators like last year).

We are coming in around 3-5 on Thursday (I dont think that we can pick up the RV until 12 anyways). But like Rooskew we will be ariving in a RV so we will be in another section. My lady and I will definitely come by and celebrate with a Mimosa or two. Sounds just lovely.
Also, Rooskew, thanks for the heads-up on not parking by a giant light tower/generator thing. Definitely, deserves some karma for helping me avoid that scenario.

Well, since the majority is leaning towards a Wednesday night arrival because of the Thursday addition, it looks like I'll be chilling either at the HIE or WM Wednesday night around 10-12 but that can change once we get the official announcement.
Since I'd like to be somewhere near the hospitality tent instead of being closer to the arch entrance, I'm going to hang out until we can get a few RV'rs and roll in together. But in my future defense, I may get too excited if I hear the gates are open, urinate all over myself violently and make a mad dash for my campsite leaving everyone in my dust.
Also, if anyone that's doing the tent thing and arriving Wednesday night and need a place to crash after a long drive, I have a queen size bed that you're more than welcome to use.
does anyone know about vip tents being able to camp by rvs??? my friends have an rv, but we're in a tent ... hmmmm
Yep- basically there is a tent-only area, but in many cases there's also an opportunity to make mini tent towns near RV's. But it's also worth mentioning that the RV section and tent sections share a border right near the catering tent, which is where I'd like to put my RV. So basically I'll end up right near tenting without trying.

Yeah- it's wisdom hard-earned my friend. I actually thought it would be a neat idea when we first parked there, shrugging it off as, "oh that will help us find it in the dark" - which it did. Unfortunately once we found it it provided constant noise (not always a bad thing for people that can't sleep with a little consistent noise) and light (a bad thing).

That's what I'd like, too (the hospitality tent RV part, not you urinating). But VIP never opens early-- just Thursday at 9 or 10am. But around 10ish am is when we could roll in together. I have an RV and we'll have a companion car. And we're staying at the HIE Wed. night.

Ok, all the rumors and whatnot that are starting to arise are freaking me out a little and I don't want to get caught unprepared. When ordering VIP tix, you have the option to purchase the RV upgrade and I didn't see a companion vehicle pass option. GA tix has RV + companion vehicle. Am I going to be required to get a companion pass for the RV in VIP. I mean, how the hell else am I going to get the RV in there. Paranoid, you bet.

The RV pass you bought with your VIP tix get your RV in. If you want to bring an additional vehicle, that is what the companion vehichle pass is for. Hope that clears that up for you.

Wait-- I think I see what you mean here... If you're talking about a truck pulling a camper, they consider that 1 RV.
In the past, GA was much more strict on size of land area you used, hence the car companion thing. VIP is much more laid back. In the past you can just pull a car up near your RV and still be in the same square they have marked off.
I put this up before in another thread, but I'm copying it here to help with everyone's logistics:
I apologize about this screenshot from my computer. I have looked EVERYWHERE for this aerial, but I can't find it again. This was taken Sunday afternoon.
YELLOW: Our camp BLUE: A/C bathrooms - on the left end, you can see the bathroom attendants' tent. PURPLE: Hospitality tent ORANGE: Exit to the little shakedown street towards BFE RED: Entrances to Centeroo/Exits from VIP - you can also get in/out through the Hospitality Tent GREEN: Showers & washstations PINK: Portapotties - there may be more elsewhere.
My friend and I will probably be arriving around 12-3 on Thursday. Driving from Chicago, so it's the best we can do. Either way, we're extremely excited for VIP this year.
We're planning on arriving around 3am. and heading to a secret location and sleeping til 10 or 11. Then Bonnaroo bound baby! Just wondering if we're going to get stuck in traffic coming in that late? Anyone have any insight on this?

So is there an official meet up? It's just my gf and I travelling down, and it would be fun to meet a few people before going in. Either way I think we'll meet a lot of strangers (or maybe just strange people).
