We have brought one for the past 2 years and love it!!! We were surprised, the first year, at how much better we felt after taking a shower in our tent shower. The water is chilly, but you feel like a million bucks after!!!

What do you do with the wastewater when you are done showering? Doesn't it make the camping area a muddy mess? I have never been to Roo so I was worried about pissing off my neighbors if I get a shower and make mess. Thanks
Honestly, there really isn't that much water. When you are taking a shower, you tend to save as much water as possible. All I want to do is wash my hair and clean my body!
I have never had that much water run-off. This will be our 4th Bonnaroo. It's worth it!

I love our shower. It's so refreshing, and we've never had any drainage issues or neighbor complaints. We've always told our neighbors that they're welcome to use it if they want to haul their own water.

There were no issues with drainage last year. The water just kinda soaked in to the ground. We had 8 ppl at our camp last year and I thnk we all took like 2 showers that weekend and all there was was a lil wetspot no real drainage. The shower we had did not really put out a whole lot of water, just enough to get the dust off. Usually a bag lasted 2 showers and the walk for water was a lil long. After the 1st person took a shower and realized how much better it feels. I didnt believe him until I took one and then another and then another.....

We set up our shower after everyone around us got camp set up. Then we put it kind of next to the truck between our neighbors vehicle with plenty of room for people to get by as well. A shower after a long hot day before late night is the way to go!

my ffriend(former army guy) brought an odd piece of equipment he inherited from the army last year...its a five gallon army green canvas bucket type setup with a hanging strap on it that has a green plastic shower head on the bottom..you just twist the shower head to pone or close the water flow...when we showered,we turned it on to get wet an lathered, the turned it off whilst scrubbing..then to rinse,we cut it back on...that method (the navy shower i believe its called) coupled with the old school metal wash tub we brought to stand in,worked wonders for water run off...whe the tub gt enuff dirty wash water in it,a couple people cpould just go down to the dirt road and dump it...helps the dust control and evaporates quickly...
And for those of you that have used camp showers... how many showers do the 5 gallons usually last? There's three of us girls, all with longish hair, and we'll probably take at least 2 showers each...
I have long hair and to wash my hair and take a full shower, it takes half a bag. The water is nice because the sun makes it somewhat warm. There is nothing better than feeling clean, no matter how I get it!

i just got this shower tent.....its easy to set up but it doesn't have a place to hang the solar shower

This is what I used last year. We were in VIP, but the showers were crowded in the morning and I didn't want to wait. We got four showers out of 8 gallons. The trick is to get wet, turn off water, soap up, rise off. If you let the water run, you will run out quickly. Hope that helps.

Yes, the shower head is sold there too. You can also do a search and find it sold at other outdoor supply stores.

We brought a solar shower last year, but no shower tent. While it was nice having something to use to clean off, it was highly inconvenient to hold the bag up or set it on top of the car and bend over. Also, had to leave at least the undies on (except for one late-night shower ). Anyway, we're bringing a shower tent this year. ;D
I'm debating getting a stand-up shower. How long of a wait is it to use the $10 showers at sundown usually. If it's outrageous then it might make more sense to hike back to camp and shower there.
I've never paid for a shower. I've either used the stand up shower or the free wash areas to bathe. There are a lot less people there at 2 in the morning....
I'm going with a shower enclosure this year. I got a cool one from Zodi www.zodi.com/web-content/Consumer/zodishowershelter.html It seems easy to setup and your head sticks out the top so you don't miss out on what's going on around you. And...NO ZIPPERS
This year I threw together a camp shower from spare parts I had laying around. I used an old condensate pump from our old heat pump, floated it in water in a rubbermade tub so it pumps the tub dry and attached tubing and a shower head. Made a test run and it works fine. And everything packs into the tub for storage and hauling.
May or may not bring it as I will still have to get water to it or haul it to the water station. And I never minded the trough baths. Mainly just made the shower because I had the parts and wanted to see if it would work.
