Damn..... I think from what I read I have everyone beat....
Last night I put 15 in my tank and it was $3.67. Thats in MI. From everything me and my friend have gathered gas is deffinatly going to be the most expensive part of roo....
Local news says its going to be $4.00 or more by july
For those coming east from Chattanooga -- DO NOT pull off in Georgia (Exit 299) off of I-24, having been lured by chear(er) gas prices (GA has a lower gas tax): the GA State Troopers have a surprise -- complete with canines -- at the hidden end of the looping ramp.
^ good advice Jellyfish. I also noticed that Georgia has a fairly low tax on gas, 12.2 cents. The bad news is that I heard that if gas prices go higher, there will be an automatic increase in the tax!! Can I get a smite on the taxman??
Last week I filled up at $2.96 I believe, and this week I filled up at $3.17, that was the increase in a single week. O almost forgot, that is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Hovering around $3.09 here in Birmingham. I did put $2.99 gas in my car today, which was nice. Funny, in my senior yearbook (2004) they listed the price of a gallon of gas as $1.47, and we thought that was high!!! What I wouldn't give for $1.47 gas these days. Crazy how much it has gone up in 3 years.
Well...as of about 2am on Saturday morning, the cheapest gas in Manchester is $2.90.
In my neck of the woods in Houston, it's $2.97.
The link below works for any zip code in the US (that I can tell) so maybe y'all can use it to help map out some cheaper gas along the way, wherever your route takes you.
well, here its risen in the past week... to 77.7 cents a liter... so if there's 3.79 liters in a gallon that would make it... about $2.95 when I was in high school it was at about 23 cents... about 87 cents/gallon!
My truck has a 35 gallon tank. It's over $100 to fill up. What really makes it worse is that pumps here only approve $75 when you scan your card so the pump shuts off and you have to shut off, rescan and pump twice to fill up. A very expensive hassle!
try keeping your tanks above the half way mark..it will make the oil companys pay lots of money to store the gas sitting in tankers and trucks...this will cause the price to go down because the supply will go up....10,000 dollars an hour to store the gas on the tankers sitting in dock somewhere sounds good to me they have to pay that much to store the gas....plus gas seems to go a little farther when you keep the tank above the half way mark...oh this is boz not meg so mad smiter keep away

Yeah my Ranger's only about $40 for a full tank. Lately I've only used it to drive to work and back as most of my friends live within walking distance. It is a good idea to keep it up around the quarter-half way mark because going lower on a regular basis puts a strain on your fuel pump and wears out your engine due to the extra combustion. Living in a tourist trap like here sucks because the prices are so sporadic depending on the influx of people. Sheesh I'm glad I'm moving in the fall.
