OK my ride isn't going to Roo, but they're gonna drop me off and then pick me back up. I know (at least I'm pretty sure) there is no way for them to drop me off and pick me back up at the gates or anything, so where would be the next closest spot to do this? It should be some sort of landmark, because I'll have to walk back there after Roo to meet them there. Any suggestions?

There's a gas station at the corner of Bushy Branch Rd and SR55 that's about a mile or so from the gates.
If they drop you at the gates, they will have to wait in line for god knows how long, and then probably have a helluva time getting out while everyone else is coming in.
Your best bet is to have them drop you off at The Kangeroo on the coner of Bushy Branch and Hwy 55. You can hitch a ride from there, the gates are only about two miles from there.

Yes and Yes. However, I would check the Rideshare to see if someone could give you ride from Walmart, that way you don't have to hike while carrying your beer.

I was thinking that, and I might just do it. Though there will actually be 2 of us and we have a cooler w/wheels and a bag w/wheels, so hiking with it all shouldn't be TOO bad.
