I was in a Sportsman's Warehouse the other day and saw a sign for an EZ-Up canopy for 69.99 on sale. The other EZ-Ups that I have found have been about double that, so I called about a raincheck (they were out).
The clerk told me he might could get me a similar canopy for the same price. He checked (with his manager, I assume) and came back and told me he could get me a 10x10 Undercover brand canopy that retails for $150 for the $69.99 price. This sounds like a great deal, but I wanted to get a little feedback, if possible, before buying it.
So anyone have any experience with this brand? He says it is lighter AND more durable...and offers true 10" shade as opposed to the 10x10 EZ-Up (which he said offers 8" shade).
I don't want to jump on your thread, but I found a Quik Shade brand 10' x 10' shade tent at Home Depot for $59.99 on Memorial Day. Not sure if this is a widespread sale, a Memorial weekend deal, or what, but it might be worth looking into for those who are looking. I'm still not even sure I want to bother trying to fly with the damned thing, but we'll see! Regardless, it was a pretty great deal.
Cabela's has an EZ up 10x10 in their camping catalog on sale for 69.99. I checked out their website and didn't see that item on sale. It must be a catalog only sale item. You could call directly to find out for sure.
No personal experience but It looks like a great canopy for the price. The leg stabilization and side shade are extras you usually don't get for that price. I'd get it.
Thanks to all for the info. I went ahead and picked it up yesterday. I was going to set it up last night, but it is threatening rain, so I will set it up this weekend.

Regarding the EZ-UP, all I can figure out is that they make a lower-quality version of their canopy as the one you mentioned from Cabela's sounds like the one that Sportsman's Warehouse had. Who knows...I'll post and let everyone know what I think of the Undercover one.
