As for the Camelbak question- I delevoped I techinque that worked fairly well that I would be happy to pass on. In the morning, buy a bag of cheap ice from one of the vendors you'll find around Shakedown. Then fill your Camelbak reservior with the ice. When you get to the security checkpoint at Centeroo, you can demonstrate that you don't have any water in your pak by legitimately trying to drink out of it (ice won't have melted yet so nothing comes out). Additionally, if the security pats down your bag, it won't have the swishy feeling that water has since the ice hasn't melted yet. This plan worked for me every time but I also never had a super overzealous security guard and none of them ever did more than pat down the back of the bag and look in front pockets. Bonuses of this technique: ensured that I was always drinking nice cold water that didn't smell like sulfur and I got to use the excess ice to restock my cooler.

You are supposed to only have empty camelbacks in centeroo... a lot of the l;ines will let you through anyway, though. Pick the fast line. If they tell you "no" then just head to another line and give it a shot.
So what people aren't allowed in centeroo with bottled water either? Or just non filled camelbacks? Why? The ice idea is a good suggestion. But why would secutirty care what you packing in your camelpack? I'm confused. If you get a pissy guard what he make you empty it infront of him? I bought my first camelpack cause of Roo cause I can get dehydrated easily and dont want to be spending money on drinks all day long....I havent read any rules on the Bonnarroo webcite that prevents filled camelbacks at Centeroo. Can someone point this out if I've missed it?
I'm recovering from wisdom teeth removal so sorry if I sound very pissed off. Just in a semibad mood and irritating pain.

i brought my camelbak into centeroo full of water every time. nobody said anything!
and if you do happen to get a doucheymcdoucheface security guy, just get back into a different line. and as a general rule, always look for fast moving lines, they're fast for a reason!
and i hope you're feeling better soon, wisdom teeth are a doozy
I purchased a Camelbak/backpack through EMS a few years ago. It looks like a backpack, but inside is a fully removable Camelbak. The back pack uses the shoulder straps of the camelbak actually. The camelbak tucks away nice and neat and noboday can even tell it's inside the backpak. Once through the gates I just pull out the drinking tube. Vodka and Cranberry for this guy all day long. Of course I'll stop by the Broo'rs tent form time to time as well. You can also stash other unmentionables inside the camelbak which is now inside the backpak.
i did not have a CB last time I went, and did not pay attention to others with them...will they check out the contents (water vs. other) if you just walk in with one to centeroo?
Please remember that there's free well water in Centeroo that you can use to fill up your Camelbak. If you get a hardcore security guard and have to dump your water bladder, just go fill it on up again! With each passing year, it tastes better and better. Last year, there was no smell to it. Regardless, it's 100% potable and generally pretty cold.
I've always drank the water from inside centeroo and personally don't mind it at all.. But I did grow up in the country and have come accustom to drinking well water
