Does anyone know what breweries are going to be at the"good beer" tent this year? There was a nice group there last year. It would be tough to smuggle in my Dogfish Head and Bell's in bottles.

Terrapin has been there the past 2 years. I hope they come back, s'good stuff Flying Dog has also been at Roo in the past. Probably my favorite micro-brewery, esp. the Gonzo Imperial Porter.

Drank a couple of those the other night... So good.
Does Magic Hat offer more then just #9? Im spoiled when it comes to Magic Hat, and while #9 is one of the best beer's ive ever had, it is a little too mainstream for me! I have a distributor that gets everything Magic Hat puts out so I often just get the variety cases.
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
oh man dogfish is good.. so good that i cant risk having it taken so i guess it'll jsut stay at home.... their brewery is sweet ... haha they named their dry hopper 'me-so-hoppy'
I just saw a TV spot on Dogfish Head today on The Travel Channel. is it correct they have these 12% (?) specialty beers that go for $20 a bottle(big bottle).
I've not drank a bad brew from Dogfish Head. They do have some very expensive special brews. The Burton Baton that runs about $15 a 4 pak brewed in February is well worth the price and considering that about 2 is all you'll need probably is not too economically unfeasable . The 90 minute IPA available year round is excellent.
Wow. Anyone that wants to bring brew from Bells in Kalamazoo I'd like to speak with!
The beer tent was good last year, and a nice alternative. However, they "ran out" of 16 oz cups on Saturday and started to serve the beers in 12 oz cups - but did not lower the price. i thought it was a real scam.
I know what they put in the email about what beers would be at the tent. I'm just hoping the lines will still be short for those that want a good beer taste while in Centerroo!
While I love my magic hat, dogfish has to be one of my favorite breweries out there. For thos of you that love #9, I suggest trying Dogfish Aprihop. Dogfish does do a great job of brewing strong beers. Although they no longer produce one of my favorites was named "golden shower". Since the crew at the gates of roo has hassled us the past few times about bringing bottles and I am not in the mood to bribe anyone again this year I will just bring Oskar Blues beer with me since they are one of the only good beers that come in cans.
One of my real good friends is the local sales rep and distributor for Magic Hat since they are sponsoring 10klakes too, I get to go with him VIP style with a bunch of magic hat employees. That will kick major A@$. Too bad he couldn't make this happen for Bonnaroo too. Oh well I better not get too greedy.

3 ounces for one taste. Asheville Brewing Company was the smallest distributor there. I know the owner so he gave me a few free pints during the festival. ;D

Mad Karma. Flying dog is a diamond in the rough. So damn tasty.
In 2005 Magic Hat actually debuted their Hef at Roo (it didn't have a name at the time, just batch 13 or something-- now it's "Circus Boy"). I swear my biology was 2/3 Magic Hat that year.

I had the test batch at roo that year. They actually changed it a little since then. In my opinion, the test batch tasted a little better than what is currently being bottled.

I agree-- but then again, it could have also been the difference between draft and bottle.
I tended bar at Dogfish Head in Rehoboth and have been talking to Sam about rep'in for him in Charleston, SC now that they have repealed the prohibition-style 5% law. They do brew some of the best tasting and strongest beers out there.
