hey guys, i've lurked here since february, (this will be my first roo) and i adore reading all your helpful advice. this has been bugging me, and i wasn't able to find an answer in a search. will i be able to turn my car on for a small amound of time (20 minutes) while i recharge my camera batteries? i don't want to be a bother to my neighbors! thanks!!
Yea make sure you don't run down your battery. At the 05 Roo our neighbors blasted tunes the whole time and needed a jump off before they left on monday.

That's what friends are for! I liked the story in a thread, about some guys leaving early, and they picked up and moved the car to get out.. I'd rather have someone with their car on near me.. than their car on me..
If you plan on playing music from your car, you definitely want to run it at least 20-30 minutes a day to avoid running down your battery...possibly a little longer. That, along with the lines getting in and out, is why you should definitely fill your car up before you go in. And as someone else said, as long as your tailpipe isn't pointed right at someone's tent two feet away, you should be fine!
Many car's alternators will not charge a battery at idle - they need to be running at 2K RPM or more to put out more than the engine is using. Don't count on recharging your battery unless you give it some gas.
