O.k so NO glass bottles, no problem. My problem, I LOVE Jager and as far as I know it only comes in glass bottles. I was hearing things about just putting it in a plastic bottle and it'll be fine. Well doesn't that count as an open container? So could anyone offer up some suggestions on good plastic bottled liquor? Also Bonnaroo site said 2, 1.75 L bottles is that right? So that's 2 fifth right? Well I can't think of any plastic bottled fifths, I'm just a bit confused. Comments are welcome.
A fifth is .75 liters, they mean the half gallon jugs with the handles, those are 1.75 liters. As far as recommending somthing that comes in plastic, I can't. Most of what I drink only comes in glass. Just bring some empty plastic bottles with you and fill 'em up and get rid of the glass at the gate.
That's per person, in addition to beer. They are not trying to deny anybody (of legal drinking age of course) alcohol. They just don't want people bringing in a $h!tload to sell.
I'm a rum drinker, so I have a number of good options to choose from. We have a great liquor store just across from Cincy called The Party Source (in Newport, KY), and they have an impressive selection. It's like a liquor supercenter. Any of you folks coming through Cincy on your way down might want to check it out.
Also, we have another (even closer) option just across the river, at the first exit off I-75 in KY. It's called the Cork and Bottle. Not as big, but they might be worth checking out, and you could hop right back on 75 in about 2 minutes.
That just seems like a $hit load for one person, to me. I mean I'm sure I could drink the 3 cases+ of beer in 4 days, but a whole gallon of booze in 4 days too no way, but that's just me.
First....as I understand it...open containers are not an issue in the camping areas....you just can't bring open containers into the concert areas....so as it relates to your love of Jager....pour it in a plastic bottle and you're all set to drink at your tent.
Second....you can bring in two 1.75 LITER bottles....not two 1.75 MILLILITER bottles....1.75ml wouldn't fill a teaspoon. Think of a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi...the size they're allowing is a little smaller than that.
Last...most booze when sold in bottles that size....almost always comes in a plastic bottle.
I see the size thing was worked out while I was typing...sorry about being redundant.

I could definitely kill off 2 of those bottles over the course of 4 + days......I was actually ticked off that they placed such a tight limit. We're coming down in 2 separate cars, so I'm planning on packing at least a couple of extra bottles with my friends. If I can't drink it all, then there's that much more to share!
My understanding is that open container laws do not apply if the bottle is in an area not accessible from the passenger compartment. That means the trunk or bed of a truck away from the sliding window.
Most liquors bottled in plastic are not of high quality, hence the saying, "That bottle is Bum Proof." Because a bum can drop the bottle and it'll bounce instead of shatter.
I'm just hoping jager and perhaps some jose will be present. Nothing better then a margarita after a hard day's sun.
Don't get me wrong, I've consumed many a Cuervo and Dew. I was planning on sticking with beer, but now that you mention it... a few shots of Cabo Wabo or Corazon sound pretty good. Maybe there will be some good tequila there afterall.
You know, Cuervo Black that just came out, is actually quite nice. It may be a bit more expensive but it really blends itself incredibly well with whatever you want to mix it in.
Smirnoff also comes in plastic bottles....so now we have a decent Bourbon(JD), Tequila(Cuervo), and Vodka in 1.75 Liter plastic bottles.....anyone got a Rum...the bar would be pretty well stocked at that point.

While this is true, aren't the rules for getting into Roo that the bottles have to still be sealed?

I don't think it'll be a problem getting into 'roo but they want you to have sealed water bottles to get into centeroo.

I'm pretty sure you can get Captain Morgan in plastic, and I'm absolutely sure you can get Malibu in plastic. It might sound strange to some, but I likes me some Malibu & Coke.......very tasty. I shall be bringing multiple bottles to Roo.....

Cuervo Black is good. The first time i had it I didn't like it, by the fifth time it was terrific! I'm gonna stick to beer and a fifth of Evan Williams ( in the "travelers" plastic bottle........for the alcholics on the go!!).
