Long enough to catch half of one and see the other half of another you wanted to see. The late nights are usually longer, i.e. up to 3 hours, but usually 1- 2 hours or so. Coachella had 45 minutes sets, and conflicts galore. The worst conflict last year for me, was Girl Talk, The Flaming Lips and Galactic. I saw all of Girl Talks set, missed the Flaming Lips landing in a ufo, but walked by later when Wayne was rambling, then I watched Galactic for a while. the problem is knowing what set will be badass. Flaming Lips owned it last year.

Yep, there will unfortunately be tons of conflicts. Most of the sets are somewhere between an hour and two hours (at fifteen minute intervals), although some bands, notably the headliners and late-night acts are longer. They tend to be somewhat staggered but not completely, so if there is a conflict between shows you want to see you'll probably be able to see all of one and then catch 15 minutes or half an hour of the other. Or of course, leave one early and come to the other one late and split the difference.
Last year looked like this...the first shows start at 12:30 (except for the Sonic Stage which starts at 12) and the last "day" shows end at 8 (except for the Blue Room Cafe and Troo Music Lounge which go to 8:30, and the one weird White Stripes show which went to 8:45). Then the headliners play 9 - 11:30 and nothing else is happening then. Then starting at midnight you have all the late night acts which are scheduled until 3 but can end up playin' till the sun comes up.

i was kinda wondering how far way from each other are the stages?
it can be a long long way between The Other Tent and the What Stage
With all the people, it usually takes about 10-15 minutes to go between these stages - they are the furthest apart with the others somewhere in between.

dasclyde Sorry to be a downer but yes they can play all at the same, time I had conflicts galore and once the beer took over I just stayed at one show and quit jumping...Thank God I caught Flaming lips they were amazing, was not a huge fan till their show.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
I had a master list of all the bands I wanted to see last year and wound up seeing just about every band I wanted to.
There's a problem with this though. Since last year was my first roo, I didn't realize what I had to sacrifice to stick to my rigid schedule. I missed out on hanging with the group I was with, since I diverge from most of them in musical tastes and we seperated a lot. I also missed out on a lot of the roo vibe because I was truckin' through the crowds super fast to get to the next show or whatnot.
I'm doing it completely different this year. I have a list of what I want to see, but I'm going into it realizing that there is no way I will see everything I want to. I'm gonna' mostly hang with my friends, so I will probably wind up seeing some bands I wouldn't normally have picked. I'm also gonna' chill and let whatever happens happen. I'm confident that this method will be condusive to making this the best roo ever.
