i actually wore rope sandals during all of 05 bonnaroo, and they were ok, they were wet and muddy the whole time, but they didn't fray. and they would dry over night. however i did wear crocs last year, and i would say the only advantage is that you feet stay cleaner, and of course a little more cozy.

i'm so glad this thread came up, because I was debating about wearing crocs to roo. I didn't want to look like some dummy wearing the only pair, but now that I know they're a favorite, that rocks

I just bought some Keens. they are light weight and comfy and have a rubber toe to keep the tootsies from being smooshed! Highly reccommended. bob
Me too, Bob. Just came home with them and they are killer. I think these will be great, rain or shine or both (10 day forecast is predicting rain on Thursday and Friday.

Do they have differnet kinds of those rope sandals at roo? I didnt see them last year, but I definitely dig those rasta flip flops. Would be awesome if I could find something like that up there
they probably will... i have a pair of rope sandals - they are awesome. however, the drawback is in thier ability to wick water or other moist things through the shoe. so if you go into a portopotty that just got blown out by some tribe of wookies - imagine that juice going from the floor, through your shoe, onto your feet.
Crocs win - and although I dont own a pair, i might get one this weekend just for roo.
Crocs are comfortable, they are my bad weather footwear though. I usually go with Berks in the good weather but if it's wet or starts to rain, thats when I get the crocs out. I didn't wear them much at All Good last year cuz the weather was great but they were amazing at moe.down when the hurricane leftovers hit.
Can someone explain what is so great about Crocs? I tried on a pair at the store today and yeah they were comfortable but I would wonder how well they stayed on in the mud? With just that back ankle strap and the holes I could see not so good things happening.
I was going to go with a pair of strap on sandals that are all weather deals that I got to wear in the water. They are a similar style to Tevas but some other material for the straps.
