i don't know if it's a southern thing or not, but i believe it's called burt's butt paste (could be a little mixed up on the name) but i remember it works wonders! it's diaper rash creame, and is good for preventative and after treatments!

boudreaux's butt paste, its made just north of New Orleans. Its the only thing i would ever put on my kid's butts when they were in diapers, awesome nuts!!! You can get it at wal-mart down here (i'm in Gulfport too, bisquik), I had a harder time finding it when i lived up north tho....
edit: i somehow missed your post when i was reading the thread, dhamma....i swear by it too, even tho my kids are out of diapers, i keep some around because its pretty much a cure-all for any skin ailment....lol
