Is it possible? I'm guessing it all depends on how boxed in things get when everybody sets up. But has anybody had any luck getting out on Sunday night? Do the vast majority of people camp through until Monday morning or does it start to thin out on Sunday?
I've got a flight that leaves at 11 am on Monday morning from Nashville. It should still be doable to get out on Monday morning & get to the airport in plenty of time. But the crew I'm with is debating whether or not to get a hotel near the airport Sunday night so we can get in late & actually sleep in a bed & get a shower in the morning. I'm sure whoever I have to sit next to on the plane would appreciate me getting a chance to bathe. I guess we could always make a reservation & then cancel sometime on Friday if it looks there is no possible way to get out.

We left on Sunday last year right after Bela Fleck. I think it was around 5pm or so. We were parked in BFE (arrived Wed night). I had to walk off the route and asked one guy to move his car a few feet but we made it fine. Another hour and it would have been really easy.
A lot of folks were leaving at that time (after Bela Fleck, no point in staying later! ).
I could'nt believe it was possible but we got out on Sun. last year and we were behind shakedown. Like they say get to know your neighbors. A couple of inches either way makes a difference when moving a car. Can you say sardines?
i was very glad when we left around 6-7 last year on Sunday night that we were able to get out A-OK. We were jammed in there Very tight that whole weekend.
Ive left almost every year on Sunday night......drive an hour to Nashville and enjoy hot shower, good meal (if not too late) and big soft bed.......makes the 11 hour home the next day not so bad.......
if youre camped in BFE you shouldnt have any trouble getting out
