Got a quick question for you veteran Roo-ers....
Where exactly is parking for Tent Only? I haven't seen it on any maps.
Also, how do things go down when you get to the gate? My group is STRONGLY considering Tent Only...However...if we might possibly get a good spot with Car Camping then we might take that...
Can you ask where they are going to put you at the gate and decide then?

I'm a newbie to roo but what I've gathered from this site is that you park your car along with everyone else that will be car camping and then walk to tent only. This means you could be parked anywhere.

If you're going to tent-only, you basically park wherever you are led for car camping. Then, drag over your stuff. No seperate parking area for it. BUt I have no clue about the asking of where you're headed part......so, just see where ya end up and then decide.

You park where you're directed to by the lot attendants. They pick the lot, they pick the spot. You've got room to camp there if you choose, or march your stuff down to TO if so inclined.
Tent Only is pretty tight but camping at your car can be just as tight. Car camping varies depnding on how they park you. I've been as tight as Tent only and I've had tons of space. I wait and see where I'm put and then decide if I'll go to Tent Only.

Tent Only can be a pretty tight fit at times. Car camping is hit or miss depending on where they put you. the major benefit of Tent Only (aside from camp inforoo, of course!) is that you are only about 2-4 minutes from the stages. Walking times can vary greatly depending on where parking attendants place you. You could be 5 minutes away or you could be 30-40+ minutes away (aka, Camp Austin Powers).
It's all about the parking (until you get there, then it's all about the music and the people you meet)... good luck!
