thanks for all the love and advice guys! running around work trying to get everything done is no fun at all with a gimp toe, but the thought of bonnaroo is more then enough to get me through it. i will definately look forward to meeting everyone at roo and showing off my battle wounds.
ya know, i really shouldn't be f*ckin' around on inforoo with all the work i have to get done, but i told myself that a half hour of inforoo will be good for me. then i'll be able to focus more (yeah right, i know). Only 26 more hours till my vacation officially begins!!!
Look about getting a temp handicap tag so they will let you camp closer. Most count clerk offices have forms or they are online. You fill it out and take it to the DR. maybe the ER would fill it out or your regular Dr. Then you go to the county clerks office and pay about $10 for a short term pass. IT can be done in one day if you do some calling so that you know right where to go. Thisis what I had to do in Tennessee and I am sure that each state is different. I am not sure how they will be with you showing them your stitches and saying I need ........ it might work, but I would hate for there to be a problem for you. You might e-mail them and ask - there is an address for those with special needs.
I know that you are young and crutches are much easier, but I would stick a 4 legged walker in just to make sure that you don't get sore from the crutches - the walker will also give you a place to lean if you get tired and a way to prop you foot up if all the walking gets to you.
Just a passing thought as I am on my way to do the last bit of packing that I need to do.
