This is my first Roo too and I've been mulling over the rain boots issue for quite some time. I don't own any and was looking at buying some so that was a con (having to pay). If you already own some and are driving. Throw em in the car, what the h3ll.
My logic is this. I know I'm gonna do a lot of walking, and rain boots don't seem to be a great choice of footwear for that. Also even in the rain it's gonna be HOT, and do I really want my feet encased in rubber? My feet will sweat and be wet anyway. So I voted against them. I'm just wearing vinyl and rubber sandals and getting my feet muddy. I can wash them off at the water stations, when I get back to camp and Gold Bond them before I sleep.

I have tiny feet...size 5 in womens...and I can't find any rain boots that stay on my feet..they are very narrow....anyone have kids and know a good place for me to find some?
Wearing my trusty Dr. Martins...complete with newly added Dr. Scholl's massaging gel insoles...and a boat load of gold bond...I'll be waterproof/mudproof outside....and sweatproof (or at least reduced) and comfy inside.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

I have a pair that I was smart enough to bring for roo 2004. I will say that it certainly helped a lot with walking through the mud bog in front of the porta potties.
It is not supposed to rain. I think boots would not be necessary this year, however, the years when we had the monsoons, if you had boots you were smart.
